Elmer Thienes-Mary Hall Elementary School serves the educational needs of students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school has an enrollment of more than 600 students and is a part of the Marlborough School District. It offers educational programs in language arts, technology skills, math, science, social studies, health and physical education, art, music and world languages. Students in grades four through six are chosen by teachers and trained to critique students writings. Its library media center has a wide collection of more than 20,000 volumes and features modern projection system for presenting video, DVD and computer productions to large groups. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as invention convention, recycling club, spelling bee and chess club.
