My 10 year old desk top with a 250 Gig Western Digital drive died. It had tons of research on it for three books I am writing, and one morning, it just plain died. It would not start. I couldn't even get to the BIOS.

I got estimates in the neighborhood of $2,500 to recover the data. I took it to "Smart Computer Repair", and in two days, I got it back with a new 1.5 TB Western Digital drive, and every bit of my data was not only saved, but exactly like it was before it died.
The cost was 1/3 of the quotes I had received before taking it to Smart Computer Repair.

SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!

I was recently having some issues with an HP Laptop.
The mechanical Hard Drive was having intermittent problems and the overall speed of the boot up and shut down was extremely slow.
I went to see Alex at SMART COMPUTER REPAIR and after investigation, he suggested removing the mechanical hard drive and installing a solid state drive.
Alex installed the solid state drive and this resolved all my issues and problems immediately.
Additionally, Alex installed the most current version of Windows 10, updated all the Laptop drivers and any applicable software, as well as all other updates necessary.
The cost to do all this work was significantly lower than other companies.
Alex was extremely helpful and his customer service is beyond compare.
His positive attitude and his attention to detail is fantastic and allowed me to be as productive as possible.
I couldn't give a stronger positive review of his work.
Alex is excellent at what he does. I will always go to SMART COMPUTER REPAIR and Alex whenever I have a computer problem or issue.

Called Smart Computer Repair when I stupidly spilled liquid on my laptop but called to late to save the laptop. :-( Fortunately Alex was able to recover all the hard drive files ! Thank goodness for his quick, resourceful actions - I did not lose any data. So a disaster was averted quickly, honesty and pleasantly. Hopefully I won't mess up like that again but I will go back to Smart Computer Repair for sure.

I went to see Alex when my old computer crashed and wouldn't power on. I had some critical files on the computer. Alex was extremely helpful and saved the day for me and got the computer working in no time. I couldn't give a stronger positive review of his work. He is excellent at what he does. Alex now has a customer for life in me and please if you have any problems with your computer go see him first and you will be happy you did!!!!

Alex took an older computer loaded with malware/viruses and turned it around updating the systems and teaching how to use them to keep the PC safe and operable. What a difference and the instructions were simple and clear. I really like how my computer is working now and will make sure all of our home computers are tuned up yearly with Alex's expertise. I would recommend Smart Computer Repair to all who need assistance. Much better than purchasing a new computer and clearly in this day and age computers need annual servicing for optimum performance and safekeeping.

I found The Smart Computer via web search. Alex is everything you'd want: professional, smart, and honest. When I brought my machine to Alex on Tuesday it was dead. When he explained the problem to me after bringing it back to life the next day I realized that I never would have been able to debug the problem on my own without expert help. My daughter brought her computer home from college for Thanksgiving with multiple viruses. I called Smart Computer Repair on the Friday after Thanksgiving, not knowing if they would be open due to the holiday. I left a message in the morning and Alex called me right back. Our daughter moved into her dorm at 10am yesterday, while she was decorating her first dorm room, she accidentally knocked over a vase of water on her new laptop. Ruined!Then my husband brought it to Alex, not much hope here over a recovery. Lo and behold, I came to pick it up today, and only Alex could have saved it. We thought it couldn't be fixed!
