Mr. Maura arrived promptly. A part of his preparation was taping a paper tarp around the surrounding wall of the shower stall to protect painted walls from being accidentally sprayed.The shower stall looked nice, clean and new when finished. Printed instructions to care for the resurfaced stall were left. One of those directions: let the paint set for 48 hours to 1 week before removing the tape and protective paper tarp above top of refinished stall. I allowed 3 days before I carefully followed the written instructions provided. To my extreme dismay and displeasure, the tape ripped off the paint around the shower stall! I emailed Mr. Moura explaining what happened and how upset I was and asked that he repaint the walls or offer a discount. Mr. Moura returned my call the following afternoon. Essentially he didn't think this was his problem. He told me that if the walls had been freshly painted within a month or two, the repainting was my responsibility since I had been told when I made the appointment that walls should not be painted before the resurfacing project. I explained to him that I was never told this at any time. He argued that I must have. Then he said that the walls were probably not painted correctly and that could have been the reason for the peeling. Never once did he take any responsibility or offer to come back to redo the walls or offer a discount. His finally told me to call him back in a couple of weeks when he wasn't so busy to remind him to come back and repaint. Seems to me that isn't my job. I did not appreciate his indifference nor his lack of business courtesy. I would never recommend his services and have passed my displeasure onto the contractor who suggested I use his services.
