My Brother

My brother went to Serenity Point Recovery 8 months ago. The place is amazing. My brother has struggled with addiction for 20 years now. He’s 10 years older than me so for a long time I didn’t know what addiction was and definitely didn’t know that my brother was a drug addict. By the time I did, he had already moved out of our parents’ house and I didn’t see him much. Our parents only allowed him to come over when he was sober so I mostly saw him when he came home after finishing some rehab program and mostly he didn’t stay for very long. Either he’d relapse and leave or he’d be doing okay, move out and then relapse. 5 years ago, he went to some program and ended up staying with us and staying sober for a year. It was awesome. He wasn’t hanging out with any of his old friends so he was at the house whenever he wasn’t at work. It was great hanging out with my brother, I finally was able to get to know him and we became pretty close in that year. It killed me when he relapsed. I couldn’t understand why he would when I know he wanted to stay sober. I came to understand that for him, control is a big thing. When things went the way he planned, he was okay. However, when things didn’t go exactly as planned, he had a much harder time stay sober. When a lot of things didn’t go exactly right, that’s when he usually ended up relapsing. He’s been in and out of my life since that relapse. Staying when he came home from rehab or managed to stay sober for a bit. My parents found out about Serenity a year ago and we all worked hard to convince him to go. He finally went 8 months ago. From what I’ve seen when we wen to visit him and from what he’d told me, Serenity was just the right place for him. They have multiple programs, which for him was a really good thing. He’s gone to so many different rehabs and he needed something different. Plus, he loved the fact that he had choices. The staff there are great. Super nice and easy to get along with. When we talked on the phone, he sounded happy and yet, I was still surprised at how great he looked when we went to visit. He had gained some much-needed weight and in general just looked happy and healthy. All the different things they have at Serenity, it all added up to being a program that helped him more than any other. Having staff he could talk to, doing the activities they planned for the patients, being able to go out with the other patients once in a while and just get away from the facility for a bit, all of it just worked for him. He stayed there for 3 months and when he came home this time it was different. He was so much more determined to stay sober and he dealt with everything accordingly. He went to tons of meetings, spoke with his aftercare specialist a lot, basically he worked at staying sober, which he hadn’t ever done before. It made a huge difference and I have my brother back in my life again because he went to Serenity.

My brother went to Serenity Point Recovery 8 months ago. The place is amazing. For 20 years, my brother has struggled with his addiction, going to more rehabs than I could count. He’s 10 years older than me so for a long time I wasn’t aware of his addiction and what it was doing to him and to our parents. By the time I did realize he was a drug addict and what exactly that meant, he had already moved out of our parents’ house and I didn’t see much of him. The only time I did see him was when he was sober. Mostly I’d see him when he was coming home from some rehab and was staying with us. A few years ago, though he had gone to some rehab and stayed sober for a year afterward. He wasn’t hanging out with any of his old friends and so besides going to work he stayed at the house. It was awesome. I finally started to get to know my brother and we became pretty close in that year. It killed me when he relapsed. While I knew my brother was an addict, I didn’t really understand what that meant exactly and I couldn’t understand why he’d relapse after staying clean for so long. I finally came to understand that for him even though he wanted to stay sober everything that didn’t go exactly as he planned pushed him closer to using. He had a big thing with control and when he wasn’t in control was when he was more likely to relapse. You can’t really control life and no matter what you do, nothing is ever going to go exactly as planned for very long. That time when he was sober for the year was 5 years ago. He’s been in and out of rehab and in and out of my life since then. He’d come by when he’s sober because he doesn’t want to me to see him high but it wasn’t very often. It was hard. I missed my brother and wanted him to get better. Last year, our parents found out about Serenity and told him about it. We all wanted him to go but it took 4 months before he finally agreed. From what I’ve seen of the center and what’s he’s told me, Serenity was the perfect place for him. They have multiple programs available there, which is good for him because he’s done so many different programs that he needed something different. He loved the staff there, they were easy to get along with and were always doing things to make the patients stay more enjoyable. They’d put together all these different activities for all the patients and it was fun for him. He told me about the different classes they have that he took, he loved the art and music therapy classes. They were really enjoyable for him and helped him. There were a lot of little things about Serenity that made it such a great place for him. The staff who were nice and easy to get along with, the activities they put together, going out with the other patients once in a while and the different classes they have, all of it together made my brother determined to stay sober. He was at Serenity for 3 months and he was different when he came home. Happier for sure. He was also actively working on his sobriety. Going to meetings and talking to his aftercare specialist a lot. He’s handling life much better now. Basically, he’s a happier better person since going to Serenity and I have my brother back in my life again. Which is great.

I couldn’t be happier with the way Serenity Point Recovery was able to help my son not just with his addiction to heroin but to also help him make every part of his life better. My son started using heroin when he was 19, he’s 27 now and for the past 8 years I watched him struggle with his addiction. He was in this never-ending cycle of going to rehab, struggling to stay clean and eventually giving in and relapsing, using for a while and then going back to rehab to start the cycle over again. It never mattered what kind of program he went to or how long he was there. Nothing we did seemed to help him long-term. After every rehab he went to he would try to stay clean. He never was able to stay clean for more than 6 weeks and those weeks when he was clean after a rehab were a constant struggle for him. Each day seemed to wear on him more and more until eventually he’d give in and relapse. After the last time he relapsed I started looking around for a place that was different. I wanted to find a place where my son could get help with more than just getting him off heroin. He needed a place where he could go that would really help him figure his life out. Serenity Point Recovery turned out to be exactly what my son needed. From the beginning, when I first found their website and called everyone was just wonderful. When I first spoke with the intake counselor he was great about answering all my questions. He explained to me why my son was having such a hard time staying clean, the different types of programs that they have there and the fact that they have those different programs because each addict is different and there isn’t one thing that will work for all addicts. He helped me get my son in right away and I was really impressed with the facility and staff when I dropped my son off. They were great with my son and right away made him feel more comfortable being there. Watching them talk to him, with how understanding and compassionate they were I could see my son start to relax. Doing the program at Serenity didn’t just deal with his addiction, the counselors helped him find and understand the reasons he started using drugs in the first place and helped he deal with those things. Dealing with not just his addiction but the reason behind his addiction made all the difference in the world. He completed his program at Serenity 6 months ago and going there changed everything for him. He went from not being able to stay clean for more than 6 weeks after finishing a rehab to being sober for 6 months after completing Serenity. He’s not struggling everyday trying to not use. He’s doing his aftercare and working to stay sober but it’s not this horrible, depressing struggle just to not use. For so long, every problem he had he dealt with by getting high. Going to Serenity helped him learn to deal with his problems in a positive way that didn’t lead to him wanting to use. Everyday he’s working hard to improve his life. What Serenity did for my son wasn’t just getting him off heroin. It was working with him to improve his life and to continue to improve every part of his life. After 8 years I get to see my son happy and doing well in life. It’s amazing and wouldn’t be the case if he hadn’t gone to Serenity.

Changed my son's life

Going to Serenity Point Recovery helped my son tremendously. I’m so pleased with the way they handled everything with my son and his addiction to heroin. My son started using heroin when he was 19. He 27 now and for the past 8 years I’ve watched as my son went through this awful cycle of going to rehab, not being able to stay clean for very long, relapsing, using for a while and then going back to rehab. Over and over. It’s horrible to watch that and knowing that though you are trying as hard as you can to help him and he’s trying as hard as he can to stay clean, it just isn’t working. It didn’t matter what kind of program my son went to or how long the programs lasted. Nothing worked. He never was able to stay clean for more than a month or so. Plus, that month or so after rehab when he was clean seemed to just wear on him. Like he was using all his strength just to not use and it exhausted him. The last time he relapsed I started looking for a rehab that was different. My son needed help with more than just getting off heroin. He needed a place where he could actually figure he life out and that’s what we found at Serenity. From the beginning everyone at Serenity was extremely helpful. The intake counselor when I first called answered all my questions, spent a long time helping me understand exactly why my son was having such a hard time staying clean and what exactly he’d be doing during each stage of the program. He got my son in right away and when I dropped my son off I was impressed with how well he was treated. The staff at Serenity, before doing anything else sat down with my son and talked to him until he felt comfortable there. They were understanding of everything he was going through, how hard of a time he was having especially since he was in a new place where he didn’t know anyone. Going through his program at Serenity didn’t just help him get clean. The counselors there helped him find the root of his drug problem. Why he started using drugs in the first place and then helped him deal with and handle that. More than anything, what made Serenity different from the other rehabs my son’s been to was the simple fact that he was happy there. He made friends and had a good time both while he was working on his program and when he had some free-time. During his program at Serenity he also picked up some basic life skills that he never had because he started using drugs when he was so young. Simple things, like talking to people he didn’t know and getting his point across without a conversation turning into an argument. For so long the only way he dealt with any problems he had was by getting high. At Serenity, he learned how to deal with those problems in the right way. My son finished his program 6 months ago and I’m amazed at how much easier it’s been for him to stay clean. Because of the way they handled not just getting my son clean but finding the underlying cause of his drug use and dealing with that, my son isn’t struggling each day he’s clean. He’s using what he learned at Serenity to not only stay clean but to improve his life. Seeing my son clean and happy is something I wasn’t sure I’d ever see again and going to Serenity is what made that possible.

We all had a very good experience at Serenity Point Recovery. I say all of us because this rehab facility made sure to involve our whole family in the recovery process. That was very appreciated. This was the first rehab center our Elizabeth had gone to. She had been abusing pills, heroin, and alcohol, and she had started with alcohol about five years ago in high school. When she went off to college, she really got into trouble with pills, and when she was home on break, she overdosed on heroin and that was pretty brutal for all of us.

At the end of the day we were all very pleased with Serenity Point Recovery. I would strongly recommend this program to anyone in the Grand Rapids area who is looking for a drug or alcohol rehab center. I recommend them based off of the above positive characteristics of the program that I noticed. There are likely other positive traits about the program that I know nothing about because I did not physically attend treatment there. Either way, this was a great program and they saved my daughter’s life.

The points about Serenity Point Recovery that made this program so great were pretty easy to see. For one, this program had a lot of pleasant things going for it in the form of:

1). Great facilities. Don’t get me wrong, Serenity Point Recovery is not a five star resort on a beach somewhere in Cali or FL. But Serenity Point Recovery is a nice place and a comfortable, residential facility. They are pleasantly well set up and there is definitely a feeling of peace of mind and a sort of kind and caring recovery method that goes into it. There is a home-like comfort to the place that makes it very easy to be there.

2). Friendly staff. I have never been to a rehab center for myself or anyone else before this, but if the rehab staff at Serenity Point Recovery are a testament to what rehab staff are like in other areas then I am truly surprised that more people do not want to get help for addiction. The staff at Serenity Point Recovery were truly friendly and truly nice to talk to, and we really appreciated them in a lot of different ways. They were kind to us, and they treated Elizabeth like family, which was good.

3). An amicable program. We all really liked how diversified the rehab program at Serenity Point Recovery was. We really appreciated that the program and the rehabilitation tools that they used at this center were as varied and as well thought out as they were. They used a multi-modality approach to addiction treatment, which was very good indeed. This gave Elizabeth the chance to sort of pick and choose which recovery options she was going to take part in and which ones she was going to sort of leave off.

4). A client-focused approach. One of the things that really blew me away at Serenity Point Recovery was their open-ended, results-based approach to addiction treatment that they use. They do not give their clients a strict, cut and dried 28 day program like so many other treatment centers do. They focus on using only a client-based approach, so their program is totally tailor made to the clients. Even the length of time that each client spends in rehab is based entirely off of how that client is doing in rehab. We all thought that was truly amazing too.

5). A family-based value system. Last but not least, this review would not be complete if I did not say a few words about how Serenity Point Recovery helped our whole family too, not just Elizabeth. They really did help all of us quite a bit. They helped all of us by getting us all together and getting us all focusing on recovery and on figuring out what was best for Elizabeth and for the rest of us too. Ultimately that made all the difference for us. We ALL healed as a result of Elizabeth attending treatment at this rehab center really.

My hat is off to Serenity Point Recovery. This rehab center definitely got something right when they decided to put their program together.

Serenity Point Recovery is such an amazing rehab. Amazingly enough, I actually had fun while I was there and enjoyed my time. Going through detox obviously wasn’t the best, it’s not the best anywhere though and I was more comfortable going through detox at Serenity than I’ve been going through detox at other rehabs I’ve been to. The medical personnel and the staff working in detox made the whole process of detoxing much easier to get through. Once I was through detox and moved over to the actual program I sat down with my counselor and went over the different programs they have available. There isn’t one perfect system for getting every addict clean and sober and so they have a variety of different programs to choose from. I was able to do a program that fit with what I needed. Going through my program at Serenity was a completely different experience for me. The main thing was that the program I did made sense to me. I was able to work out the reasons behind certain actions of mine that always lead me to a relapse. Working on responding differently to those circumstances wasn’t easy but it was a big thing. One thing about Serenity is that some of the staff have been through their own troubles with addiction and so they were able to relate to me and the problems I was facing much easier than someone who just has experience at working at a rehab and not the other side of it. Another thing about Serenity is that they make sure their clients have a good time. When we aren’t in groups or classes there are plenty of things to do or activities that the staff create for us. They staff there are beyond anything I could have imagined. Every one of them is so caring and willing to do anything in their power to help with whatever you need. Even after I graduated. If I needed help working through something I never hesitated to call because I knew that the person I talked with would be able to help. My whole experience at Serenity was completely different from other rehabs and it’s because of that that I’ve been able to stay clean and sober since graduating. Thank you so much to all the Serenity staff for all of their help and determination to get me through the program. I have my life back because of them and the amazing facility!

Going to Serenity Point Recovery was pretty amazing. I’ve never been to a rehab that’s run the way Serenity is run and the difference meant I got so much more out of my program that I had thought was possible. For starters, Serenity is in a pretty remote location so there was nothing to distract me from doing the program. Going to rehabs in the past always made me feel like I was missing out on my life somehow. I doesn’t matter that I wouldn’t have gone to see my family, would’ve probably sent the entire month in my apartment by myself. Just the fact that I couldn’t do the things that I maybe, could’ve possibly wanted to do made me feel like I was missing out. Obviously, that’s not the case, I wasn’t missing out on anything. It didn’t matter though, I’d end up resenting the fact that I was in rehab and I would fake my way through the program. Serenity was different for me because I had fun there. The staff there are pretty amazing and they go out of their way to make sure that the clients there are doing well and having a good time when we had time off from groups and such. I didn’t resent that I was there and so didn’t try to hurry my program along. Not having a time limit on their programs, I was able to go at my own pace and really do my program right. Right from the start, the staff there helped me feel comfortable. By having different program choices and being able to decide my own path I became more invested in my own recovery and worked that much harder on my program. I go so much out of my program at Serenity and by the end of it, when I was ready to go home, I went home with the knowledge, tools and confidence to keep myself on the path I wanted.

A dear, dear friend of mine went to this treatment center for an addiction to opiates. He was not in a good way when he came here, and he was really struggling with even the simplest of efforts to recover from his habit. Though my friend was struggling greatly and was in a bad way in a lot of ways, it seemed like he was ready to give in one last shot as for getting free from the habit and for finding a way to recovery and abstinence from his substance abuse habit.

Drug and alcohol abuse and addiction is definitely a problematic and difficult issue to say the least, and while it may seem like beating an addiction to drugs and alcohol is definitely a very difficult and upsetting issue for those who experience it. A substance abuse habit in this country and at this time is such that it could devastate a lot of us, so it was very helpful that my best buddy was able to get the help that he needed and was able to get into a recovery center as soon as was possible.

Though substance abuse is a definitely difficult and harsh issue for those who experience it, Serenity Point Recovery offers the right way out of an addiction battle. This is truly the best route I feel. My friend had already overdosed multiple times on his substances, he had also been to multiple different treatment centers and recovery programs too that honestly were not helping him as much as they should have. Instead, he was able to go to treatment at Serenity and get the skills and the services that he needed to go free from addiction for life.

Even the most difficult and upsetting and harsh of addiction issues can and should be effectively addressed by a rehab center, but it has to be a good rehab center, and that is exactly what Serenity Point Recovery is. Serenity Point Recovery assists people in addressing and beating even the most harmful and damaging of addiction struggles and difficulties. They offer a multitude of different recovery outlets to assist people in focusing on and addressing the different kinds of issues and struggles that they face with substance abuse.

Serenity Point Recovery is a full service inpatient addiction treatment center. This is a rehab center that offers full detoxification services and a capable and well thought out recovery approach to beating addiction once and for all and for good. Serenity Point Recovery has detox care, excellent recovery care, many different kinds of therapy and rehab services, and a good deal of other care options and physical service options.

Serenity Point Recovery also offers aftercare options to helping people go free from the substance abuse habit once and for all and for good. Serenity Point Recovery helps their clients further by assisting them in going free from even the harshest and most unpleasant of addiction struggles. The basic idea here is to help people in their efforts out of beating addiction to even the harshest and most unpleasant of substance abuse habits. From what I saw, the main goal of Serenity Point Recovery is to make sure that people go free from their habits and find their peace of mind and stability and to make it lasting and permanent for life. I highly recommend this treatment center and this recovery program in such a way that people can fully and completely go free from the habit for life. My friend got his life saved at this rehab center, and they really helped him to find peace and freedom from the habit. I give the Serenity Point Recovery center the greatest of good reviews, and I strongly consider them to be a five star recovery program.

When people struggle with addiction, they need to get help for there habits because if they do not get help they could suffer with addiction for life. I watched my friend almost die several times because of his substance abuse habit, and I realized that if I did not do what needed to be done by ensuring that he got into treatment, then he would not be with us much longer.

Rehab can be a boring and tedious process, but not here at Serenity! Besides their amazing detox treatment, which helps heal the body from within, they also have a great nutrition and physical fitness program that improves and assists the body during recovery. Additionally, their incredible music and art therapy provide a sense of healing and artistic creation for addicts to express their thoughts and feelings. Serenity is more than just a rehab facility. They truly wish to see you succeed after you leave and that is why they provide you with tools and skills from communication to responsibility and even helping you find a job! Thanks Serenity!

Serenity treatment is available to any person who wishes to put an end to his or her addiction for good. Drugs are powerfully addictive and that makes quitting without assistance very difficult. Once a person is addicted they hav e many changes many changes in the brain including feeling extremely low when not using, having to use more and more of the drug in order to feel similar effects to the first use, and changes areas of the brain that are responsible for impulse control. These changes make it difficult to resist using. Many people are scared to quit using because they are scared of the withdrawal symptoms...withdrawal symptoms can include tiredness, depression, anxiety, paranoia, appetite changes, nightmares, and insomnia. These symptoms keep the user running back to using in order to bypass the withdrawal symptoms. At Serenity treatment options and methods vary and choosing the right treatment program depends on the person’s needs. Being at a treatment center like Serenity is highly recommended since the person can be in a safe and encouraging environment in order to kick his or her addiction to cocaine. Temptation to use is minimized in a center, and the person will be supervised while receiving treatment. There are many treatment modalities and methods that will be used in rehab. The addict will work one-on-one with a professional counselor to decide the best method for his or her recovery. Serenity was really helpful for me when I needed them.

My whole family had a great experience with Serenity Point Recovery. You could say that, between my family and my best friend’s family, we have had A LOT of experiences with addiction that we have all thankfully been able to beat, myself included. Sadly, my best friend since childhood had also been struggling with drug and alcohol addiction for some time, and it was starting to look like he wasn’t going to pull through.

Then we found Serenity Point Recovery, and everything changed from that moment and going forward too. Serenity Point Recovery was able to help my friend and this treatment center was able to give him the skills that he needed to get free from drug and alcohol addiction and beat the habit once and for all and for good. Talk about a truly phenomenal treatment center!

I have nothing but good things to say about Serenity Point Recovery. This program was very helpful and effective in the recovery services that they offered and I truly believe that I have them to thank for his position of stability and recovery that he is in now thanks to this recovery center. The things I noticed the most about Serenity Point Recovery that made all the difference for my friend were that:

Serenity Point Recovery offered a focused and truly helpful recovery service that allows people to stay with them getting help for as long as they need it until they make a full and complete recovery. Basically, they let clients stay with them for as long as is necessary until those clients make full and complete recovery off of drug and alcohol addiction. Furthermore, Serenity Point Recovery also makes a point to help people further by offering them with an engaging and a focused and a direct recovery service that gets them the help that they need to beat addiction and to stay clean and sober for life.

Next up, Serenity Point Recovery also offers a very workable program where they have about a dozen different treatment technologies for helping people triumph over drug and alcohol addiction once and for all. This I feel truly makes the program effective. They use several different treatment approaches so that everyone going there is able to find a path to recovery and abstinence that is lasting and permanent. With this approach, people can actually get the skills and the treatment methods that they need to stay clean and sober for life. This is an effective approach and very helpful for their clients.

I have Serenity Point Recovery to thank for my best friend’s life. Thanks to this recovery program, Jason is alive today and cleaned up and sober.

I have been to rehab myself a few times, but in this case, I wanted to take some time here to say a few words about the experience that I had with Serenity Point Recovery. This treatment center really did something great for me and helped me a lot, though I did not go there for treatment myself. Instead, it was actually my son who went to Serenity Point Recovery. They say addiction is sometimes hereditary, and that would seem to be the case with us indeed.

We have been living in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area for some time now. We moved here wen my boy was a freshman in high school, and I’m afraid that that might have been a mistake. My son fell in a bad crowd alms instantly, partially because he had ben against the move from the get go. He immediately became rebellious and started experimenting with drugs and alcohol. That was a few years ago, and he has seen the inside of a few treatment centers since then.

However, no treatment center seemed to do the trick for him. He would be sober for a little while, then he would relapse and fall back into a bad crowd again. Not good! I was terrified, because I felt like it was only a matter of time before I found him dead, and I couldn’t even stand the thought of that.

Then we found Serenity Point Recovery. This rehab center seemed different, and it was. This treatment center really did a lot of good for him, and he has been an entirely different person since he got back from the program. I will go over in this review a few of the things about this treatment center that I thought were unique and truly special.

First of all, they offer a multi-modality approach to drug and alcohol addiction treatment. What a cool thing! While most rehab centers only offer one or two different types of recovery methods, this treatment center actually offered a more focused and more direct recovery method that used about a dozen different recovery methods to assist people in finding their path and their freedom from drug and alcohol addiction. Furthermore, my son actually got to pick and choose some of the recovery models and treatment approaches that he took part in at Serenity Point Recovery, which as totally unique. While he had disagreed with previous rehab methodologies, this treatment center actually gave him an excellent approach and a way to freedom that was truly helpful to say the least.

Next up, the program also offered an open-ended, results-based approach that allowed for a more malleable approach to the actual recovery method itself. In this way, people who went there were able to to a degree stay there as long as they wanted to. Most programs only let clients stay with them for twenty-eight days and then they are on their own, whether they are clean and sober or not. This just doesn’t work, and it certainly never worked for my son. Rather, he simply never got enough time at previous treatment centers to actually go free from addiction. At Serenity Point Recovery however, he definitely did get enough time to make a full recovery.

We also really loved the staff at Serenity Point Recovery. The staff here were truly phenomenal ad did wonders for helping our family. The staff at this treatment center seemed more knowledgable than staff at other treatment centers did. That was something else for us all.

I went to Serenity Point Recovery 8 months ago for a heroin addiction. When I started using heroin I didn’t gradually start using it. The first time I used heroin I wanted more and that was that. Once I started using heroin I didn’t want to stop. I had gone to 2 separate rehabs before going to Serenity and while at both of them I couldn’t wait to get out so I could get high again. I knew when I left those rehabs that I’d relapse right away and I was not just completely okay with that but absolutely looking forward to it. My parents wanted to believe that it wasn’t all on me. That I was just hooked and couldn’t get off it. That wasn’t really the case with me. I was hooked but I was hooked because I wanted to be. I didn’t try to stay clean and then relapse. When I went to Serenity I did it for the same reason as the other 2 rehabs prior. My parents wanted me to go and I didn’t want to get cut off. I went there with the same mindset as before. To just stick it out till I could leave. During my second week there, my counselor who I hated when I first got there but absolutely love now made me take stock of my life in a way where I had to see that my life wasn’t going nearly as well as I had convinced myself it was going. She made me see that I needed to do something about it and that I couldn’t go on this way for very long. I realized that I could either get clean and stay clean or I would eventually die. Probably sooner rather than later. So, I made the decision to do my program for real and I did. During my program, I learned how to stay in control of my decisions. How to handle my emotions better and how to communicate with my parents and my support system in the correct way. I’ve finishing my program and am home living my life again but I’m sober and I’m enjoying the fact that I’m sober. My relationship with my parents is better than ever and without the help and support I received while at Serenity I wouldn’t be where I am today.

One of my best friends since childhood went to Serenity Point Recovery. I was really pleased with how well they treated him and how different he is now thanks to his experience at Serenity Point Recovery. This rehab center took my friend and gave him his life back.

I went to rehab once. One of my kids went to rehab. I’ve actually been more than once. And I’ve known a lot of people that have gone, so this is an area that is very close to my heart. Serenity Point Recovery really helped my friend and gave him a new chance at a new life that he absolutely needed and deserved. I noticed a few key things about my friend’s experience at Serenity Point Recovery that I will mention here as they seem very significant to me:

Serenity Point Recovery treated my friend on a results based basis, meaning they helped him to focus on and address his addiction in such a way that he was not at all pressured by any time frames or limits. If he needed more time (which he did) he was able to stay on at the treatment center and receive additional help, care, and extra days in the treatment center.

Serenity Point Recovery used a multi-modality approach to addiction treatment, which is also very unique and excellent. The Serenity Point Recovery rehab approach is very helpful and well thought out, and the use a program that has multiple different aspects and facets to it. The Serenity Point Recovery program uses about ten or twelve different approaches, whereas most rehab centers only use about two or three.

Serenity Point Recovery also applied a lot of one on one attention and care to my friend, giving him the support and the stability that he needed to find a lifetime of care and freedom from addiction that was lasting and permanent. The Serenity Point Recovery rehab approach treats their clients very well, and approaches addiction and substance abuse on a very focused and one on one level and plane. I thought that was great too.

Serenity Point Recovery saved my friend’s life, and for that I am eternally grateful. My hat is off to Serenity Point Recovery and I would strongly recommend this treatment center to anyone who needs a way out of an addiction struggle.

Not every rehab is going to be the right one for every person. It's a rough journey and you need the proper care and attention to get through the program to the other side of a brand new life, sober and clean. Serenity is honestly one of the best out there. Their facility is set up perfectly to help in every aspect of handling addiction. The staff is so invested in the clients and getting them all the way through the programs. Having supportive people surrounding you while you're detoxing is ultimately a life saver. They will make sure you get clean. Not only are the staff incredible, but the nutrition and diet they offer are something of a miracle itself. This is a huge part of cleaning out your body of drugs and toxins. Not having any lingering effects of them will be like walking into the light for the first time. Let Serenity help you reach sobriety and enjoy life again. Their knowledge and consideration are key factors that should help you choose Serenity Point for your rehab.

Going to Serenity Point Recovery was the best experience I’ve had when it comes to rehabs and the successfulness of a rehab. From the start the staff at Serenity made me comfortable and I felt like they cared about me, what I was going through and truly wanted to help me with my addiction. Going through detox sucks no matter where you do it. At Serenity though it wasn’t as bad of an experience though. With the medical personnel and the staff working in detox to help with the aches and pains of detox it was much easier to get through than any other time I’ve detoxed. My detox wasn’t rushed and when I got out of detox and started my actual program I felt ready and pretty excited to start it. It wasn’t just in detox where the staff were amazing though. I have never encountered such a wonderful collection of people as I did at Serenity. The staff are amazing and my peers were amazingly supportive of me and my recovery. It was wonderful having friends again that I knew were actual friends and not just drug buddies. I’ve kept in close contact with a bunch of the people that I did my program with and we are all very supportive of one another. Just knowing that I have people to turn to if I need help is a huge thing for me. I’ve always had my parents but their understanding of drugs is limited. They understand that getting off heroin was hard for me but they didn’t and still probably don’t understand why I would relapse after going through a previous rehab. It’s a simple thing of just not using to them and I’ve never been able to probably explain why I would relapse in a way that they could understand it. So, for me having friends who understood me was big. I didn’t think I would enjoy the classes as much as I did. Especially the art therapy and music therapy. I had a ton of fun doing those classes and it was much more therapeutic than I would have thought. Going through my program at Serenity wasn’t like any other experience I’ve ever had, ever. It was fun while productive. I was able to get to the real problems that started me using drugs in the first place, instead of just treating my addiction. Between the staff, my peers and the environment I was in I was able to open up about what I was feeling without worrying that I was being judged. The staff understood what I was going through and was able to help me tremendously. It’s make a big difference having someone who has their own experience helping you than someone just trying to understand or saying they understand when they couldn’t possibly. The main thing going to Serenity has given me is happiness. I’m happy to not use drugs. I’m happy with my life and I’m happy just living it the way I’ve wanted to for a while now. I never thought that being clean could be as great as it is.

I was really helped a lot by the Serenity Point Recovery center. This rehab program assisted me in finding a way out through the trials of drug and alcohol addiction. The treatment center offered a very unique and workable treatment program that helped me see exactly what I needed to do to strive against addiction and to come out winning in the long run.

Drug and alcohol addiction was a harsh trial for me, but the Serenity Point Recovery program delivered the types of services and help that I needed to see my way out and through to the end of the morass of addiction crisis that was sadly in my way. The treatment options offered at Serenity Point Recovery were truly incredible and very workable, and I am thankful to them for helping me so much.

Drug and alcohol addiction is a harsh and worrisome crisis to say the least, but not one that cannot be fully gotten rid of with the right treatment approach. I was able to to get that approach at the Serenity Point Recovery treatment program. This treatment center treated me like a real human being and really helped me find my way out of an addiction struggle that I found was truly problematic for me.

This treatment center was supportive and engaging for me, and it helped me create a level of sobriety and abstinence from drug and alcohol addiction that was totally workable and successful. The Serenity Point Recovery rehab center proved to be a very focused, direct, and ultimately successful approach through drug and alcohol addiction treatment. The program has a great detox which helped me immensely, and they had an excellent rehab approach as far as addressing mental and psychological addiction goes.

The staff at Serenity were also fantastic. Never have I met more compassionate and understanding and helpful people than when I went to this rehab center. The people were just phenomenal, and I am very grateful that I was able to get help from them.

I have been unfortunate enough to have addiction strike in my family twice now. Two of my children, my son and one of my daughters, at different times of their lives, fell prey to drug and alcohol addiction. This was truly harsh and sorrowful for both my husband and I and the rest of the family, yet we were smiled on by God because both of my children are now sober thanks to rehabilitation.

My daughter went to Serenity Point Recovery several months ago. She had a really good experience there. She had been suffering with a pill popping addiction, and she was on a mixture of a lot of different things that were doing a terrible number on her physically and mentally. She was having it rough, of that we could all be sure.

We got my daughter into Serenity, even though she resisted at first. This treatment center and everyone who works there were really pleasing to us, and as we don’t live more than a few hours away, we were able to tour the facility and meet the staff before we dropped our daughter off there for treatment. We were impressed with the facility, the services offered there, and the help and the compassion that those working there applied to their work and to their clients.

The services offered at Serenity were impressive to us. We are no strangers to addiction ourselves, having already dealt with this problem with one of our other children just a few years ago. What was really effective about the way that Serenity did things was that they were able to approach addiction from what they called a multi-modality approach. Basically, while most rehab centers only apply one or two or maybe three different approaches to addiction treatment (I have seen this to be true for myself), Serenity utilized about a dozen. In this way my daughter was able to really engage herself and branch out to find sobriety and recovery through the modalities that worked for her.

My daughter had a lot of good things to say about Serenity. She said it was a workable and effective program. She said the food was good and consistent, and the rooms were comfortable. She said she was able to get a lot of one on one help when she needed it, but that she loved the group sessions too. At the end of the day, I would strongly recommend this treatment center. It certainly saved my daughter’s life.
