Dan Black is a thief! My mom[86 yrs old} contacted him to do some landscape work. He estimated $8600.00 for about $1000.00 worth of work. He conned her into giving him a $6600.00 deposit. Kept telling her he was busy & would be there soon. I found out about this weeks latter. I contacted the police. It turns out he did not have a licence, You can not ask for a deposit over 30%. Being that she was over 60 yr old it became a felony. We asked for our money back many times but recieved no call. After we got the police & our lawyer involved we finally recieved the money back. He tried to rip off an elderly lady for a lot on money. I told him we would not press charges if we got our money back. THIS GUY IS A CROOK!!!

Unreliable, unethical and not very smart........It cost me plenty to be burnt by them. Expecting to have them finish the job, a no show and they even left their wheel barrow
but not their "up-front" money.

Dan Black Excavating is horrible. We contracted him to work for us in November, and to this day, he is STILL not done! He kept wanting money up front and then would not show up for weeks at a time! Always an excuse! We were dumb enough to give him over 50% of the cost at the job at the very beginning. He showed up two months later and only worked a half day for two days. You can never get ahold of this "guy"!

Guy does great work and is very affordable. All the other reviews below are inaccurate of the company that I used for excavating. I think the other people have this business confused with someone else. Guy does great work and is very knowledgeable.

He basically told us to find someone else to finish the job! DO NOT USE!!
