Founded in 1984, Prairie Home Hospice is a nonprofit organization that provides hospice care services to terminally ill individuals and their families. The center s staff includes home health aides, nurses, patient care coordinators, social workers, volunteers and chaplains. It offers support to fulfill physical, emotional, spiritual and psychosocial needs of patients. The center is supported by various community funds, such as the Gales Community Fund, Milroy Charity Fund, Stanley Township Charity Fund, Tracy United Fund and Walnut Grove Combined Charities Fund. Located in Marshall, Minn., Prairie Home Hospice is a Medicare- and Medical Assistance-certified center and is licensed by the state of Minnesota.
