Bought a car from him in August of last year for my daughter. Was told he had to pick up the title from the auction and never heard from him. Six months later I still cannot tag the car but it is leaving a nice stain on my driveway. A mixture of brake, transmission, and power steering fluid!

Did a good job cleaning.

However, I purchased a Tahoe from them. "As-is" and on good faith and word.

10 minutes down the road the battery dies. $114 later I replace it to make it home.

An hour later I notice the power steering is squealing at me.

Take it to a shop to get it state inspected and it's oil changed.

Apparently the front driver's turn signal had been merely propped back into place, As driving at highway speeds and winds had pushed it back into it's completely hidden and busted housing.

There was also cracks in one of the tail lights.

But I was assured it would pass. Phillip even gave me the $12 for the inspection.

It failed.

While the oil was being changed the mechanics noticed a substantial pool of power steering fluid, tracked it down to a leaking/ripped power steering line.

I questioned Phillip about this, to which he denied having any prior knowledge.

This was previously his work truck and was driven frequently by the company.

Also, there was a half-empty bottle of power steering fluid tucked between two other reservoirs in the engine compartment. Because 'someone' was having to constantly add more to it as it was leaking like a sieve.

He was however up-front and honest about light cosmetic damage. Wrinkled door panel, front seats more than lightly used.. All of which I assured him were fine and that all I cared about were any potential mechanical issues. He even brought up that the CV boot might be leaking grease. Which is still drivable and mostly acceptable.

Omitted or out-right lying about a busted power-steering line/system isn't ok though, nor can I drive on it without risking greater damage.

When all is said and done it's going to cost an additional $500 to get the car up to the valuation in which they were so adamant about and to be safely driven. A valuation they wouldn't budge from.

If you need someone to shine your shoes, wash your windows or vacuum your floor. Go here, they seem capable enough.

But if you're thinking about buying a car from 417 Detailing or their parent company Shaffer Motors/York's Auto - act as if they're the plague.

And Apparently you might need to change your number afterwards too. As posting an honest review and account of experiences is justification for them to barrage you with passive aggressive texts and an equally aggressive phone call suggesting legal action. Deplorable.

Be wary people, buyer beware.

Buyer Beware!! Complete lack ...

Buyer Beware!!

Complete lack of communication after the sale. Purchased a blazer from Wayne York Enterprises through his wife's ebay account. Every question asked went unanswered. Went to pick up the Blazer anyway and the transaction went fine. Vehicle was described as restored and everything worked. That was the case until the trip back home. Power rear window stopped working. No big deal, he said the window motor was replaced, but nothing. Noticed the temp gauge never moved. No temp gauge. No a good thing when I also noticed the radiator overflow was leaking antifreeze. Had to continually fill it up to prevent further damage. Also told the A/C worked. Tried it out. Never got cold, but it did lock up the compressor and thow the belt. One more thing not working that was supposed to. Still thought, no big deal, 30 year old truck. Maybe just need to talk to Wayne. Tried for 5 days to reach him, would never call me back. Now feels like I got taken. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
