Riceland Foods is a farmer-owned cooperative that provides marketing services for rice, soybeans and wheat grown by its more than 9,000 farmer-members in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas. Each year, the company s employees receive, store, transport, process and market more than 125 million bushels of grain. Riceland s rice and oil products are marketed under the Riceland and Chef-way labels, and are sold throughout the United States and in more than 75 foreign territories. The company was founded in 1921 and has headquarters in Stuttgart, Ark. Its Missouri mill is near Marston, Mo., at the New Madrid County Port on the Mississipi River. It was built in 1988 and dedicated its operation solely to rice in 1996. Union Pacific Railroad serves the site and has river barge loading capacity.
