My daughter is now in month 5 at Shepherds Hill... I can admit our skepticism and concern about the wilderness approach and the effect it would have. But I have to say the program is working and those teaching and training her are top notch. I could not find a better place, better training, or better staff to care for my child.

It is tough, and rough, and a complete isolation from society other than that of her peers and staff. But that is exactly what she needed to discover herself and to learn what she needed to learn about respect, integrity, friendship, and the truth of God.

Thank you, Masters Ranch, for giving us back our son. We are together as a family again, happy and whole, and words cannot express our joy nor our gratitude for all you have done for us. God bless you.

A youth leader pointed me toward Shepherds Hill Academy for our son, but I didn’t think things could possibly be that bad. When I read the warning signs on the Shepherds Hill website and read about the kinds of kids they work with, I saw our son right there on that page. My eyes were finally opened. I’m thankful for the admissions counselors who talked me through the whole process. Our son has a world of opportunity opening up for him, all because the ministry of Shepherds Hill Academy exists.

We have been supporting this school for several years. It is a special school for special children, run by special people. With a very low budget, they impact the lives of these children which otherwise have no hope. The Love the staff and the management expressed for these children is exemplary. Way to go! Christian

Shepherds Hill is definitely a Christ center place, not in name only as I found with other places when my wife and I were looking for a therapeutic boarding school. They are definitely concerned about your child's spiritual and emotional well being. The school academically is solid and the teachers are excellent! It is very difficult to know where to place your child when you are going through such a broken and confusing time. Shepherds Hill Academy gave my daughter her life back and a means to move forward in life without the garbage she had once surrounded herself with. I am grateful for the SHA staff's dedication and commitment to serve others.

Shepherds Hill is an amazing place, helping our adopted daughter after a life of foster care. She had reverted to drug use, alcohol, and promiscuity to cope with the lack of love she felt and the hurt she had endured. We love her but had no idea how to get her on the right track, Shepherds Hill helped us get him where he needed to be. He is truly a new creation with a life in Christ!

I can honestly say that Shepherd's Hill Academy saved my life. I was caught in drugs and many other things and couldn’t see any way out. Now Christ has showed me the way to new life.

The staff at Shepherd's Hill Academy pour their lives into each and every teenager. Their passion for this ministry, for the hurting boys and girls they work with every day, can come from God alone. They get to know each teen and love them like their own children. God is using Shepherd's Hill Academy in a powerful way to heal families just like ours
