Provided by YP.comI have had dolls repaired here in the past. Always have to wait a long time to get items back but repair was eventually completed. This last time was unacceptable. I dropped off dolls for repair 6 months ago! I called and texted with 1 text reply saying dolls nearly completed. I went by in person and NO WORK had even been started! I WILL NEVER reccomend this place to anyone. Do not leave a deposit for repairs you will not get it back. I am so disappointed.

Provided by YP.comI tried to call and got no response. Web site said regular hours. So I deove out here about 11:00 to find it closed and no operating hours and all lights on inside.
Not a good way to make new customers, I won't do this again. Very disappointed on

Provided by YP.comI was cleaning and looking all over for my Effanbe doll called Twinkie. I found her in the garage and boy was she filthy and I thought she would never be restored to her original self. The doll was given to me when I was about 3 or 4. My grandma said to chose any toy in the store and she would buy it for me so it was very special to me. I looked all over the internet and found out that there are few shops that repair dolls. After further research, I found a shop in Martinez and had my husband drive me up there so I can talk to the lady to see if the doll can be restored which I did not think it could ever be possible. I had a long talk with Jan and she said that the doll could be restored. Well Jan and I talked and she showed me all of the work she had done to previous dolls. There was a doll that was burned in a fire and it was made of sawdust. after fixing it, I was impressed that she was able to repair it. There was also a doll with a cracked head. She repaired it so well that you could not even tell that it was cracked. She looked at the doll and I explained to her that it was an original Effanbee doll and I wanted it to be restored. She said that it would take a month. A month passed and I called her to see if it was ready. She said it was ready to be picked up. I Was surprised at what a good job she did. The dress was spotless, the hair was washed and her hairdo was redone with her pretty yellow bows. She also put the tags back on. I wish she had more shops like hers. She takes the time and cares about her customers and treats every doll like it was her own. Thank you Jan for a GOOD JOB!
