The woman working the desk at Bob's, who has been there for years, is horrible at customer service. She will lie to you about what's wrong with your vehicle, especially if she doesn't know - or, worse, if there is an issue with the repair that they might be responsible for, she'll lie about that too! Her first impulse is to lie, deceive, and argue with the customer, rather than trying to fix the problem, which a lot of times could probably be resolved in a much more efficient, friendly, and honest manner.

If I didn't know a little about cars I'd probably have been completely taken to the cleaners by Bob's over the years, but after my last visit I've decided to no longer take my vehicle there. It's a shame because they have a nice shop and location, which is convenient for me to take my car in the Martinsville area, but it's just too hard to get along with the staff there. Just a bad, entitled, dishonest attitude that I can't look past anymore. As an added bonus, the mechanics who work there stick up for the receptionist, even after she's got done lying and arguing with you about your car. I'm not sure what's going on there, but it's a mess. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place altogether.

The head gasket job was to take a week....it took a month. I called several times to check on progress, but Jason would not call me back. The only time he called was when the job was done and he wanted paid. He was a bit higher than other estimates, but I was willing to pay it as my neighbor vouched for him. 9 days after the head gasket job was done, the car broke down again. I called him and he was willing to tow it in and look at it, but made it clear to me that he would not be responsible for the repairs if HE determined it was not his fault... upon checking the car myself, I discovered the belt tension adjusting bolt had been overtorqued and broken, and the bolt holding the idler pulley in place had not been tightened at all - resulting in the belt being thrown off.
