It's gone waaayyyy downhill since the Captain Carlos started his regime. He is greedy, selfish, corrupt and unsympathetic toward people in recovery. So many great staff members, that actually cared for the clients, and worked at the depot for many years) are now gone. Carlos isn't allowing new people into the depot cause he says there is lack of funding, however they charge each participant 30% of each paycheck they receive PLUS 80% of each participants food stamps. F.Y.I., those fees were implemented before Captain Carlos was stationed there, the difference is that now the Captain won't allow anyone a second helping of food AND the food portions, as well as food options have decreased drastically. That's just the tip of the iceburg though. There used to be only one staff member there that accepted participants service fees, food stamps and savings (savings is a % of money The Depot requires you to set aside for when you leave the program). That one staff member was an excellent bookkeeper, she had kept a page (with clients signature and date) for each time you paid, what you paid, and how much was in your savings. Unfortunately, this individual recently left. The captain for some reason now locks up the specific page that keeps record of everyone's savings instead of leaving it with the new bookkeeper. He still requires every participant to put money into their savings, but won't let them sign off on how much they put in nor let the participants look at how much savings they have accrued since they entered the program. There is something very unsettling about how The Captain is currently running the program over at The Depot.
