This is in response to the review from Eric A.
Hi, my name is Stanley Scarbrough, Owner of Foothills. This customer came to us with a "Major Bedbug Infestation". (I will try and make this short.)
1.) There is no "warranty" with any 1 time Bedbug service.
2.) They were advised and set up a 30 day follow up @ $69. (We never require a written contract for our customers) Our Bedbug treatments have a 80% success rate with( 1*) treatment. Again, we do not offer a warranty on our treatments. Sometimes it can take several service's to eliminate heavy infestations. But we are "Always" very honest and up front. We cannot give exact dates and times, the infestation will be eliminated. Mr & Mrs A. knew, and signed agreement for the first service that came with (No Warranty) but they could continue with extra service's until
we eliminate the infestation. Every customer's situation is different.
Anyway, long story short, they turned down the 30 day follow up. They said," things were good, and would call if they needed us.
Everything was good, for about 7wks. Then, they called and said they had starting to see a few bugs. (Bedbugs can hid behind walls, cabinets ect. for 2-3 months before emerging to feed again. ) The A's wanted a free service, and we reminded them of the service call fee $69, plus, there may be some extra types of extra service's for a fee, because the didn't follow our advice, and continue at least a few monthly service's, to stay on top of there infestation. We did, do a follow up "Free" service @ 8 wks. After, that service, it was aprox. 7wks, when they called again, and requested another free service. At that point, they felt because of the price first paid, it should have been warranted, and continue to be a free follow up treatment.
This was aprox. 5 months, since the first treatment. The customer also has to continue to clean and vacuum furniture and carpet area's, to aid in the elimination of the infestation. This is something we observed, during the two free service's, they were not doing.
As a small family operated business, since 1997, we try to and offer fair, lower price, for this type of service, but our customers have to do there part, also, if they want to get rid of Bedbugs.
They did file a BBB report, but not consumer affairs. We answered there complaint, and offered a Free Service, as per there request, and neither ourselves, nor the BBB could get a response from them. After 4 weeks, the BBB closed the report. You can check with them, to confirm. After 19 years in business, this is the only complaint Foothills has had.
We always try to offer lower than average prices for Bedbug Services, but never cut into the quality of the service. We will always try and be fair, and go the extra mile, for our customers within reason. to solve your individual problems. Every customer's situation's are different, and no treatment will ever be exactly the same, as it takes many things to come together, to completely eliminate the infestations.
