The practitioner and owner of Waves of Therapeutic Touch, Janis Parks, has been a Registered Nurse for over 36 years. However, the Medical Profession has changed dramatically since she was trained. No longer do Nurses TOUCH their patients for the sake of caring and comforting. As a RN, Janis missed this part of Nursing, knowing how important and beneficial massage therapy truly is. She decided to become a licensed Massage Therapist in Massachusetts and has since opened Waves of Therapeutic Touch to help improve the physical, mental, and emotional lives of her clients.
What exactly IS massage therapy? Massage Therapy is touch. Gentle smooth strokes for relaxation and lymphatic drainage or deeper muscle work for relief of tightness and pain. Every massage is performed with the specific needs of the client in mind. Some forms of Massage can even be performed on a fully clothed client, or in a special massage chair.
From infancy to elderly, the benefits can be AMAZING, not only for the body but for the mind as well. Imagine a full hour (or more) in a quiet, warm and cozy room with soft music, candles, and a water fountain, Or in the comfort and security of your own home. Perhaps in front of your fireplace or on your deck in warm weather! Have massage table?I will travel!
Sadly, our society has evolved into a world where TOUCH is becoming a lost art. Humans cannot live and thrive without touch. Massage delivers touch in a caring and therapeutic manner, which is beneficial for all ages, and all levels of health and fitness.
Waves of Therapeutic Touch brings massage to YOU, in the comfort and security of your own home, OR in a Licensed, inspected office setting located at 400 Nathan Ellis Highway (Rte. 151) across from Dino's.
