I went to the St.George, Utah ...

I went to the St.George, Utah lens crafters in the Red Cliffs Mall. All I had to choose from, as far as glasses, were all name brand and very expensive. They told me that they don't have any non name brands. I finally found a decent priced pair of dolce & gabana. Even with a 40% off coupon and $100 discount, it still costed me $350. A week later, my glasses are cracked, from inside the frame. They better fix it or I will call the BBB. They have caused me nothing but troubles, disappointment and a hole in my pocket.

Merritt Island FL store was ok. The eye doctor was ok, but the lady that helped me with the glasses was not paricularly friendly or genuine. At times she bordered on rude. My glasses were cracked/scuffed after I waited a week for them, so I had to wait another week for another pair. I dont think I would return nor could I recommend.

I waited an hour for my glasses when I got them the man snapped the stem of my glasses off and so I had to wait a week to get them after that because that was their last pair. Also they were twice as much as I could have gotten anywhere else.

I was told on the phone they accepted my insurance as partial payment for my glasses, and after I drove 40 miles to their office, they RUDELY told me they did NOT accept my insurance. They appeared too busy to talk after that, telling me that they were sure SOME OTHER eye-wear establishments would accept my insurance, but they did not. When I asked them why they told me they did over the telephone making me drive 40 miles for nothing, they rudely replies, "WE JUST DON'T", then the woman I was talking to walked away from me. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR GLASSES! RIP-OFF!

Very friendly staff at the doctor's office. I only had to wait an hour for my glasses! I was very pleased with my visit here. And I could finish my shopping too. I would recommend this to everyone

I was very pleased with the quickness of getting my glasses. Since I put everything off till the last minute, they were able to make my glasses that day before my trip. And the staff from the doctors office next to lenscrafters was so friendly, it made my whole experience wonderful!

It might take them an hour to make the glasses, but it took an hour before that just to get waited on! They were way too expensive, also. No way am I ever going to go back there.

Overpriced and poor service. Paid $100 more than the same glasses from my old docter. Lenses developed cracks after only three months and it was still $160 to repair them under warranty.

Horrible place to go. I spent 1,000 dollars on one pair of DG eyeglasses and Chanel prescription sunglasses, and I told them on each pair not to adjust them they were perfect, got them back and they adjusted them too big for my face. Went back to get them re-adjusted and the sales lady was RUDE about it telling me that it happens when you wear them a lot although I haven't even worn them once since they were too big. The first man that I saw when getting them was very nice, just everyone after that was rude and definitely didn't want to do their job. You would think someone spending that much money when other places are a lot cheaper they would have a nicer attitude.

Exactly my point about online reviews of businesses!! How can you trust a review when you can't verify that the person reviewing even lives near the business(or in this case, even lives in the same time zone or part of the country) The same person 'Cainoiguy' reviewed a business in Baltimore, Maryland--on the same day, (01/24/2010) as the Lenscrafters here in Caldwell, Idaho. Do you expect us to believe that that customers' review can hold any weight after closer scrutiny? Total bunk, and I feel that Lenscrafters should respond to blatent lies such as this with legal action..... HA! like that'll ever happen, you can't track people like this down--so you can't actually hold anyone accountable for liable claims. You also can't expect any reviews to be worth much (crap - actually) unfortunately, even if the review is in a business' favor..

P.S. By the way, I haven't been to the Lenscrafters in Caldwell either, so my comments are just fueled by my rage against the bourgeoisie of the industrial cyber-machine and anonymity of the internet!! It's the principle of the thing.......

Horribly expensive for what you get.. Advertise a $49.00 standard eye exam. That does not include everything else that comes with the eye exam.. Contacts are way overpriced. Would be happy to pay more for better service.

Through the Wausau WI store I was able to make a same day appointment at 12:40 pm, the Optometrist was very complete, explained everything, and answered all questions. I was treated very courteously by all staff in the store and was able to pick up my new pair of glasses by 2:30 pm. I am very pleased with the style, fit, and improved vision that my new glasses give me. I would recommend the Wausau WI store to anyone.

The eyeglasses here were very expensive! Even with a 50% off coupon, my Versace selection was over $400! And the others were the same. It seemed like there was only very cheap looking stuff(which wasnt that cheap) or very expenxive. By the time you sit down to add the stuff up----it's expensive!!

The Lenscrafters on St Rose and Eastern was nothing more than speectacular. I needed glasses quickly and had never gone to a Lenscrafters before. This location took such great care of me that I booked appointments for my whole family there. The best customer service I have ever received in my life came from the people working at that store. Good Job St Rose Lenscrafters!!!!!

Update from LensCrafters...the Liars!

I received a response from the BBB and Lenscrafters is stating that I did not request any enhancements when originally quoted...BULL, I stated exactly what I wanted and it was understood...the employee is just trying to cover her behind! That's why the employee had to call her lab to verify my request...DUH!!!!



I've been passing this information to employees of AT&T so they will know what to expect from this company. My advise, shop anywhere else but Lenscrafters...from what I have seen thus far, the online prices are much better for the same products. Even using insurance, you actually get a better buy not using the insurance except to send in the receipts for reimbursement. These big chain Eyecare companies that accept insurance are really a ripoff anyway. When these stores have any kind of special, you can't use the insurance anyway!
