Provided by YP.comI am very sorry to hear that the two prior individuals had trouble. Massapequa Pain Management, in my book, is not just looking for your money. I am being treated for a very painful disease that is very hard to treat.
What has to be kept in mind, and I am in no WAY saying that the two prior writers were or are looking for drugs. Prior to going to MPM I was with a WONDERFUL doctors office. Staff was unreal, they made you coffee, called in scripts, when and if they could, and it was attached to a P/T also. Turned on the news and yes, I saw my doctor, Dr. Ajamen, being taken away in handcuffs for the LIRR scandal. He just gave me pain pills and had me on my way to being a Long Island mom addicted to pain meds. I was told about MPM by my friend. The Dr.'s take their time with me, return my calls and are helping me with a very debilitating disease. To my knowledge they don't shut down for lunch and the staff works very very hard. I have been in there when the Dr.'s asked for a urine sample to test for any drug use. They went BATTY. I have seen the staff be abused by people looking for drugs. They fake an injury and the cops have to come. I have never had a problem with the staff, and I am sorry if the prior patients did. Not everyone can be happy with every Doctor. So just move on and I PRAY that you don't get the doctor that I did after Dr. Ajamein was arrested.
I wish you both good luck and for a speedy recovery.

Provided by YP.comPOOR TREATMENT: I went to an initial appointment within 3 months of my surgery. Paper files everywhere and for some odd reason the exam room smelled like a freshly lit cigarette and I do not smoke that was disgusting. After my appointment I did scheduled a follow up appointment but had to reschedule due to a conflict. Asked to reschedule $40. I said fine. I then recieved a call back from staff telling me the doctor wanted $40 before I could reschedule and they were canceling my appointment. I have the money to pay but I am currently on disability for my surgery so it would be tight. There is no consideration for the patients situation. Most people going to pain management have legitimate disabilities and minimal inome due to the injury. I was initially willing to pay but the call back to tell me the doctor needed $40 now and was canceling my followup was downright rude and conflict provoking. I will be going to another doctor for treatment and will not recomend this office to anyone.

Provided by YPmobileRude staff. Dr Jan has a God complex. He has had lost his license in the past because he is a raging alcoholic. He deals mostly with recovery addicts and acts like the police yet will prescribe you strong narcotic pain meds and then turn around and say you need to go to rehab. He will call any of your other doctors you list on file stating you are an addict. Basically a pill mill under the guise of helping those in chronic pain get off pain meds. Over prescribes Suboxone and brags how he uses FBI grade drug testing. He is extremely rude, loud and has no bedside manner nor abides by confidentiality laws. One minute he can be nice and the next is screaming like a kid having a temper tantrum. Often misdiagnosis as well. HORRIBLE doctor if you even want to call him that. He blatantly will tell you he's paid by big pharms to prescribe meds.
