I went to Dr. Joel Kaplan Optometrist in Sterling Optical of Lynbrook for an eye exam to get glasses (I currently wear contacts). I paid $45 for the 5 minute eye exam. Once I got my glasses the prescription was too strong. It gave me a headache, nausea and eye pain. I went back to Dr. Joel Kaplan and told him my symptoms and that I felt the prescription was too strong. He says "what do you want me to do about it?". "You told me that looked good the other day" and then he makes me wait there for 30mins while he goes into the back room. When he comes out I tell him my contact prescription that I use everyday is much weaker than what he prescribed me for eye glasses and he says "Then make that your prescription" and hands me a paper without retesting me eyes! There was no one in the store on a Thursday afternoon, he had no reason to rush or not to help me. He was extremely rude.
