Professional Home Watch services, home reporting. Every home and condominium is different. We customize each service plan to meet the needs of the homeowner and the particularities of the home. Should we find anything amiss, you will be notified immediately. With your approval, we get to work scheduling the properly licensed and insured trades to resolve any issues.Who has your key? Unfortunately, it is not until after something goes wrong that your friends and family could feel put out, feelings hurt and friendships lost. Don't let this happen to you. We are made up of professional individuals who have over 35 years of living and working in southwest Florida. We understand the nature of our climate and the havoc it can do to an unoccupied home. Our team is dedicated to customer service and takes pride in listening to and understanding the needs of the homeowner. Interior Service Inspections: Check for signs of forced entry, theft or vandalism Check for signs of pests or insects Check to make sure all doors and windows are securely locked Check for signs of water damage on floors and ceilings Check temperature and humidity readings Check refrigerator, freezer and make sure ice maker is off Run water in sinks, toilets, tubs and showers to ensure drains are working properly and traps stay filled Check back of toilets and under sinks for leaks Check circuit breaker box for any signs of a surge Check air conditioner for water leaks Check hot water tank for leaks Check and reset microwave and stove clocks Check for unusual odors Check hot water heater for drainage Check for signs of mold and mildew Water plants Exterior Service Inspections: Visual inspection of home exterior Visual check of landscaping, make sure landscape is properly maintained Look for broken windows theft or vandalism Pick up mail and packages, remove door hangers and newspapers Check sprinkler system for proper operation Check screens and porch enclosures for tears or damage Visual check of pool, test pumps and make sure pool is properly maintaine Test shutters if applicable Check mailbox Forward mail if requeste Visually inspect gutters and roof for damage Put trash cans away after home owners' departure Opening your home: Turn on water Turn on air-conditioning Turn on hot water tank Synchronize clocks in Kitchen Turn outside light on if coming in after dark Closing your home: Shut hot water breaker Turn air to 60% humidity and thermostat to 78, or owners pecifications Empty ice maker and shut off Dispose of garbage if any Make sure all doors and windows are secured When finished the homeowner receives a time stamped report with GPS location, and all pertinent photos emailed. If any problems are found we will arrange to have them repaired by properly licensed and insured contractors. All work is supervised by a member of Tarpon Home Watch.
