Unreliable and arrogant. These words describe what United Graphics has now become. I first contracted with UGI in 2009, and I found it to be timely and honest. My most recent experience with them has proven how this company has lost its way. I was told by a customer service representative named Abell that 575 books would be shipped the first Thursday in June for next-day delivery. I even paid money to have this shipment guaranteed. The next day, she calls saying that the shipment had not gone out, claiming that a printing machine had broken, even though she said that the books were being bound two days before. I then requested that one box of 56 books be shipped for Saturday, in time for a book fair I was working that weekend. She agreed, and then gave me the UPS tracking number. When I checked ups.com that night, the next-day shipment had been incorrectly processed for Monday, not Saturday morning. UGI then insults me further by offering me a five-percent credit -- credit...as if I'm going to use them again! -- on the job. Somewhere, this company has lost its dedication to customer service, honesty, and respect for its customers. Do yourself and your project a favor and avoid this company

They don't stand behind their work

I have used United Graphics for several print runs with perfect results. However, I did not fare so well on my most recent print run. The books were shipped to me in very poor condition. They are seriously warped, the covers are trimmed too short, the inside print is not up to their usual standards and the page sizes are not uniform with each other. This was a direct reprint. Upon opening the boxes I was very disappointed but felt sure the printer would make it right, after all it's United Graphics, I told myself! I believe every company makes mistakes and should be given the opportunity to correct their errors. I was very diplomatic in my approach. They told me the warping would "relax" in time, and would not even address the other issues. It has been a month and the books have not "relaxed." I tried mediation with the BBB and the most UG would do is offer a $200 discount to reprint a $3300 job. I will have to find another printer, eat the $3300 on this bad run, and spend another $3300 to get a quality run. I have shared photos with a number of industry experts who agree the job is unacceptable. I will not use them again. United Graphics simply does not stand behind their work.
