I experienced an excellent massage therapy by Carey at this salon, but I totally regret trusting Sara at Edge Studio to do my hair for my wedding. I was told by the owner that she was THE ONE who knew how to do updos and that all I had to do was provide a picture, and Sara could do it. Not only did I provide a photo, I found the style I wanted had a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPtfQqhQWKY with step by step instructions. This would have made it fast and easy for her to do this style correctly. When I arrived for my appointment, Sara told me she barely watched the video. (Why did I not run while I had the chance?) Again... I was trusting she knew what she was doing. She began styling my hair different from the photo. I asked her why she was doing it differently, and she said, "I don't appreciate being told how to do hair". She then strapped a band of hair downward to behind my ear, and I had to say please wait, this is not what I wanted. (That strand was supposed to have a drape, not a tight downward and unflattering angle) When I said that, she took off for the backroom and wasted a lot of time soothing her ego. (was I supposed to allow her to continue doing it her own way without speaking up? No. I am also a hairdresser, and I owned my own salon, and the goal is to give the client what they want) This was my wedding day! I was told I could have the wedding style I wanted, but what I got was a a casual curly style instead of an elegant wedding style.. My bangs didn't even have any curve or shape, there was supposed to be some height on the top and crown.) She was mad at me when she came back, and sprayed me in the eye with the hairspray! I jumped and was trying to wipe it off, and she offered no first aid, no apology, and no compassion or concern about it. (All of this caused me to be late walking down the aisle!) The owner did not offer to me my money back, even though I have written to her twice, giving her plenty of time to do right by me. Never again!
