Garrett College, established in 1971, offers a variety of educational programs. It offers courses in adventure sports, natural resources and wildlife technology, and juvenile justice. The college also provides certificate and associate degree programs in fine and performing arts, applied science, social and behavioral sciences, teacher education, human services, physical and health education, computer information technology, business management, and elementary and secondary education. The college also offers a variety of transfer and career advancement programs. It organizes intercollegiate sport activities, including basketball, baseball, volleyball and golf. The college is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and is approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Garrett College is located in McHenry, Md.
