Provided by YP.comI took my van for simple service and I now it no longer works properly. On around March 11th I brought my 2002 Chevy Venture in for a service. I told them that I heard some squeaking in the brakes, I needed an oil change and that my windshield wipers would stay at the top of the window after you used them (periodically). During the time they had the vehicle they told me that the brakes just needed some clean up on the rears. For the windshield wipers they said I needed a new transmission and I said ok, no problem. And they noticed that the Service Engine light was on. The Service Engine light would go off and on sporadically but it wasn't all the time so we weren't too worried. I asked the agent if they knew why it was coming on and he said they couldn't tell. He told me I would need to drive it until the light went off if I wanted to get an inspection sticker. I agreed. When I picked it up the agent explained that they had "tinkered" with the linkage on the wipers and they didn't have to buy the transmission. He told me they work and go down but only at low or high, no intermediate. I was a little taken aback that instead of replacing the transmission they made it work but I said ok and paid the $239 for the bill. About a week later I was driving my son to work and out of the blue the engine pegs to overheating and I have to pull off of 75. I had only driven about a quarter mile and the engine wasn't even hot. But when I pulled into a parking lot the car shut down and I couldn't get it to start. I should also mention that it started raining that day and when I turned on my wipers they no longer worked. So, I called ElDorado Motors and they called a tow truck and they took it back to the shop. It basically sat for three days before anyone even did a full check. The agent (Pete) said that he had tried to start it and it started up and wasn't having any issues. He said they would give it a once over and hook it to the computer to see. He also said he would check the wipers again. Finally, after the weekend and two days he let me know that a grounding strap was not connected and that could have caused an electrical issue. He told me that the wipers were now completely broken and would cost $800 to fix (the first guy told me $400). He told me that the CAM sensor was covered in oil because my gaskets were leaking. He said that would take an additional $3,000 to repair. So, now I am wondering why didn't the first crew see the grounding strap, or the oil leak or fix the wipers as I asked the first time. And why after all of this can nobody tell me why the vehicle acts like it is overheating when it clearly isn't (they didn't seem to think the oil leak was causing the overheating, but should be fixed at some point). I have trusted them for years and have always brought my vehicle to them for all repairs. I don't trust the service department at all now. I drove my van about a quarter mile again a few days after paying the $400+ and it acted like it was overheating again. Had to pull off and turn it off. I am so angry I can't even express it in words. They can't even give me a reason, just suddenly discover things that the previous techs must have missed. I have a handicapped son and this is our means of transport for him and twice now I have been stranded with him in the van. I assume I am going to now have to go take it to another shop for repair and then file some sort of suit unless they make it right.

Provided by YP.comBobby Shark was awesome to deal with. He took the time and thoroughly went over everything in when I bought my car. He has since called me a few times to thank me for my purchase and make sure I didn’t have any questions. Anita in the service department has also been awesome! She is prompt and is always ready with a loaner car waiting if I need to drop my Camaro off. She calls me to let me know every detail of change or if it's ready. She is the most professional person I have ever worked with in a service center. Overall, my experience at El Dorado Chevrolet has been top notch. From the sales to the service, I have been taken very good care of. I would highly recommend El Dorado Chevrolet to my friends and family, a great place to do business.
