The purpose of the McLeansville Baptist Church Missions Team is to obey the commandments given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. We are also commanded in Acts 1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. The final command of the Lord Jesus while on earth was to carry the gospel to the entire world. At McLeansville Baptist Church we take that commandment seriously! We believe it is our job as Christians to evangelize every opportunity God gives us. We believe it is our responsibility to reach our community and beyond. Fortunately we have been able to do so through our Pastor’s foresight and his support of the missions program. We believe that the only hope for the world is the Gospel of Jesus Christ being spread by born again, dedicated, men, women, and teenagers. The principal work of missions is to present the gospel to every person by taking every opportunity God allows us whether it be locally or in any city, state or country. In 2012, our Missions Team visited Sandstone Baptist Church in Sandstone, West Virginia to remove and replace siding on their church. In July this year we will be traveling to Costa Rica with Churches in Missions ministering to children. Sunday Worship, Sunday School, Prayer Worship, Outreach, Youth Ministry
