McAlester High School offers classes in English, mathematics, history, computer applications and fine arts to students in grades 9 through 12. The school s science department includes instruction in physical science, biology, chemistry, physics, physiology and astronomy. Its social studies curriculum includes government, psychology, economics, and Oklahoma and world history classes. McAlester High School s curriculum also includes classes, such as agriscience, animal science, marketing fundamentals, and business management and supervision. The school provides vocational programs in automotive technology, carpentry, child care, welding, computer application, and commercial and home services. It is located in McAlester, Okla. McAlester High School is governed by McAlester Public Schools, which operates several early childhood centers and elementary, middle and high schools.
