Provided by YP.comI was referred to this boarding place by my dog's groomer, but I just had a telephone conversation with the owner and she was plain rude. I asked if I boarded my two shih-tzu dogs, would they be in a kennel or together with other dogs? and she said "let me stop you right there, we do not accept shih-tzu's because they have bad temper and are aggressive", I replied that I was surprised because to the contrary, they are loving and great dogs and she just replied, "that is what the owners always says".
Later, I read that this boarding place leaves the dogs together so that they can "play". What this boarding place doesn't understand is that perhaps the small Shih-tzu's get intimidated being with all sorts of big, strong and scary dogs that they might act to defend themselves. Shih-tzu's are such loving and good tempered dogs, but this place is placing a label on them, instead of realizing that these dogs might get scared in that type of environment and need a kennel to feel secure...but to say that the Shih-tzu is aggressive and bad tempered is not fair. I would never leave my dog in this boarding place...

Provided by YP.comI have kenneled my dog at Bed & Bisquits many times. For the most part I have been pleased to have a place that my dog enjoys to go. But honestly every time he is kenneled something goes wrong. The owners are nice people but they are extremely unorganized. Pretty much seem to be living and running the business minute to minute. I can pretty much count on the fact that they will never have dog ready and bathed for pick up. NEVER. Also they may or may not feed the food you leave with them. My dog was sick a few times after kenneling with them. They try to say dogs get that way from stress of kenneling but it only happens when they return my full bag of dog food. Thats how I know they are not feeding him my food. Not many options in the Valley for kennels so I guess this one will do. But honestly I sure wish they could just be better. Its really not that hard. Maybe just being better then crappy means you don't have to be great.

Provided by YP.comBed and Biscuits is the only place in the Valley that I will leave my dog. She is boarded there regularly and attends daycare as well. The owners are caring and responsible and have always taken excellent care of my dog. She loves going there and is always eager to go in each time, so I know she is treated well there.

Provided by YP.comEven though the couple that runs this place loves dogs, when I expressed my worry about the two ratty, upholstered, moldy, mildewed sofas they have outside that they let the dogs play on, as being a health hazard, this worry was brushed aside. I told the owner that twice my dog had come home smelling bad of mildew and I had to bathe him (as many people are, I am allergic to mold and mildew). And, I also informed her that my dog recently had a bacterial/yeast infection in one ear. The owner refused to even consider the mold as being unhealthy, because as she put it, "No dog or anyone else has ever complained about it or gotten sick." I suggested that maybe problems were happening but no one had connected the mold with the problem. And, that the dogs would inevitably end up with spores under their nails, on their fur, and in their mouths and lungs ..... and then, go back to their owner's homes and in contact with children and adults who might have asthma and allergies. I wrote the CDC about such mold and the reply I got was that any mold and mildew you see is unhealthy and can be dangerous. And, these sofas clearly have mold on them. I have been in sales (and basically anyone providing a service is selling their place and good name, to gain trust) and no customer wants to hear, "No one else has ever complained about that....." Because I challenged her on this, I was told it would be better if my dog just did not come anymore. She then ignored anything else I had to say and condensendingly smiled as if I was making something out of nothing (I actually thought everyone knew mold was a health hazard). She was so adamant about being right (her insistence that the sofas were not a health hazard) and obviously offended that I said my dog stunk from the mold/mildew -- that she told me that it would be better if my dog just didn't come anymore. Hmm... putting ratty, mildewed, molded sofas over the health of dogs and people and losing a customer over filthy furniture that is was not intended to be left outside! Don't bother with this place or risk acquiring skin/ear bacterial or yeast infections OR respiratory problems due to these sofas. (My dog does not have allergies, but for dogs who do -- this place would be even harder on them.)
