Provided by YPmobileIf you're passing through you should go out of your way to stop at this gem. We were traveling to south Florida via NOLA and this was our stopping point for the day. If you're an old train fan this is across from a park where there is a railroad museum. It was dark so we couldn't see much. We were greeted warmly at the door and as it was early plenty of seating. The chef sent us out small cups of complimentary gumbo that was better than anything we has once in NOLA. The salad was fresh with homeade croutons you wish you had a bag of for snacking on the road. The rolls were big, warm, soft and yeasty with butter that tastes sweet and fresh. I had the combo fried platter with shrimp, oysters and catfish. The batter was very light and everything cooked perfectly. I had creamed spinach as my side. If you like fresh, good parmesan in your creamed spinach this side is for you. My husband had the grouper which was as good if not better than any we've eaten in south Florida. Desert for us was bread pudding with rum sauce. Excellent. One if the best meals we've ever had especially stopping while travelling. What a treat. Hope we get to stop here on the way back home!
