The gentleman that did the inspection was nice and professional. However, several things were missed that resulted in thousands of dollars in repairs after purchase.



First, the chimney was completely unusable and unsafe. The wash crown at the top was in pieces. After months of communication, the owner came to our house, looked up the chimney, and said "I don't see anything but I'll check the pictures." and advised me that they do not have to inspect the chimney if the roof looks dangerous. Totally ignoring the fact that there were pictures of the chimney in the inspection report. He never did follow up on this. I decided to let it go and paid over $4000 for our chimney repair.



Today I had the furnace cleaned and was told that there is no disconnect at the indoor unit and that it was over fused at 60 amp and should be 30 amp. This is not up to code and would create insurance issues if we were to have a fire. Unfortunately, it will cost $1300 to fix.



I have had several contractors ask me directly who inspected the home and how did they not catch this stuff. The guy cleaning my gutters even noticed the chimney issues. Not only did they fail to catch major issues, they failed to own up to their error and offer to even meet me in the middle on the cost of the repairs. I cannot recommend Pillar to Post to anyone.
