I took my truck to a dealer and they told me I need a transmission. They were so expensive so I took it to Shane. He gave me much better price and gave me a car to use while my truck was getting fixed. I didn't have to rent a car or anything and I didn't miss a day of work! I am going to bring my truck to Shane for all the work from now on.

Highly recommended!!! Really honest bunch! I was driving up to visit my bro in chicago. Stuck in that terrible stop and go Atlanta traffic and of course my jeep starts jerking so bad I'm afraid to drive it. I pulled over and was referred to AAMCO. Mr. Shane and crew were super friendly. I was scared my transmission went bad- which is what the oil change guys told me... But it turns out it just needed a tune-up!!!! Still had to spend the night (got there as they were closing) but I was on the road again next day, and made it up to Chicago no problem!!! Super honest shop and I hope I can find another one like that next time I have car trouble

Only giving it 1 star as there is no 0 star option. This place is a terrible unprofessional place of garbage. Stay away. Period. There are plenty of other good repair shops around the area. My finances' car sat in their garage for 4 days and only when I said I'd take it somewhere else did anything get done. And let me tell you. I wish I had gone elsewhere. They hastily installed a inferior quality part that not only didn't fix the problem, it made it worse. Then. The next day I brought i back for them to do more work on it and told them they had plenty of time as we were out of time on spring break. Over a week later I came back to the shop to pick up the car as they had done no work on it. The gal up front had to go jump it off as it was just sitting in their garage for over a week and the battery had died. Took it to a real shop and the problem was fixed in a day. Bottom line. Stay away from aamco!!! No help from the national customer service either! The worst part. Mr Shane kept lying at every turn saying there were gonna work on it soon. Or "its on the lift right now." Total bullsh*t.

Side note. If they recommend you to a title pawn it might be a underhanded scheme to legally steal your car. Just a heads up. Their incompetence only pertains to mechanic work. They might be good at taking an unsuspecting persons' car.

I have to say this place has really changed since my last experience (in which was absolutely horrible). Stuck between a rock and a hard place and not to mention broke down in front of there entrance, I went ahead and let them take a look at my truck to see why she left me stranded. Truth be told I already knew what was wrong because I had taken my truck to 2 different shops for diagnosis and repair estimates. Having already made up my mind that this was a big mistake, I was surprised when the shop manager approached me and said the mechanic wanted to show me exactly what was going on with my truck. He was genuine and honest and didn't feed me any bull nor did he try and sell me any stuff I didn't need. In fact he even told me it was a waste of my time and money to change a part out and perform a service I asked about. So yes I now highly recommend Aamco in McDonough as long as you ask that your repairs are are done by John. BTW, my other 2 guestimates were a "little off" in their estimates and repairs compared to my repair bill from Aamco. #1 by $600 and #2 $865... both were trying to overcharge me plus wrong on the repair itself.

Saved me a $75 diagnostic fee and even towed my car for free. So they saved me at least $150. Ended up not getting car repaired, so I can't vouch for that. BUT they diagnosed my car and put no pressure on me to get the car fixed. I would definitely recommend.
