Absolutely Horrible. There is little accountability with this company. In St. Louis, Charter Communications has caused me the same problem as the previous reviewer. I changed to Charter Communication services in November 2011, and noticed a home alarm problem. Kept getting home alarm prompt error codes. Didn't put the two, Charter's install and alarm error codes, together until recently. Here is the problem: Charter's interface (service box) plugs into and back-feeds a dial tone through your home's phone jacks although the manufacturer does not recommend back-feeding installations. Lazy or incompetent installers do it this way, as opposed to connecting as close as possible to the homeowner's permanently installed network interface (in my home it's an AT&T device). Connecting upstream, or in front of the interface, is best and is the manufacturer's recommendation. This interface is normally in the basement and close to point where service wires come through the outside wall. Back-feeding creates a loop that will not allow your alarm to dial out; hence, no monitoring and an inherent vulnerability to your system. This is a mark of great incompetency especially when the manufacturer, Motorola, does not recommend this type of install.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen, I had an appointment for phone service they told me from 10a.m to 12p.m I waited and waited I called them at 11:42 I was told the tech would be here soon he was finishing up another job, he never got here, I called again at 1:41p.m and was told the tech would be here in 30min. the tech never showed I called them at 3p.m and they had the nerve to try to reschedule me, first the csr said tomorrow then he changed it to friday, they have poor csr, they didn't keep in touch with me through out the day to let me know what was going on I had to keep calling them and then when I called they would put me on hold for 5min.... they are awful, worst customer service and handling of business I have ever seen.

Horrible Customer Service

Tech disconeected home alarm system when installing cable telephone system. Made appt to have it fixed and Tech never showed up. Customer Service gave me a run around and refused to give an alt time for the Techs arrival but wanted me to wait at home all day for him. Scheduled another appt for the next day and was told 8am sharp and was guarnateed he would be there at 8am. Spoke to another operater who stated an appt was made for between 8am and 12pm, more customer service runaround. Requested credit to acct for troubles and was put off in every way and refused.
