Provided by YP.comWe have been going to Alisa's shop for over 15 years. All of our dogs have been groomed by her through the years. I have NEVER had even the smallest issue with her or the grooming. We had an epileptic dog that I first took to her. There were plenty of groomers that couldn't handle his health issue but she has been great with all our furry babies. I can't imagine taking out pets to anyone else. The grooming is always great and she's always been reasonable. All of my babies love going to see her. She truly does treat our pets like family.

Provided by YP.comWe have been bringing our dogs here for almost ten years. Alisa has been nothing but the best groomer we have ever encountered, and she treats our pets like family. She not only grooms them and plays with them, but also helps us with little tips about their care along the way. We have used other groomers, but never seem to get the care or quality we get here. The care alone is worth coming, but she also has great pricing that is extremely reasonable. I love the fact that I don't have to worry that some "newbie" is being trained on my dog like can happen at a big box groomer. We have had some bad experiences with those and were so glad to find Alisa. She is not just a good groomer, but she is good with animals in general. We used to have a dog that had severe anxiety issues and we always had to be with him. After the first visit with Alisa, we could drop him off and get him later with no problems. She calmed him perfectly. I would recommend her to anyone in need of grooming services and frequently do!

Provided by YP.comI took my 5 1/2 month old schnauzer puppy to Alisha - owner of The Dog House - for a standard groom.I called in advance to talk with her, we spoke about how she runs her business. I felt good about the things she was telling me like she does not believe in keeping your dog caged up during their visit, she keeps food and water available for them, and they are able to go to the bathroom as needed. I asked if I needed to bring his shot record, she said I did not need to bring this, I only needed to give her my Vet's name when I brought him in. When I arrived I completed the 1 page form she had me fill out with my contact info, pet info, and the name of my Vet. My puppy was feeling fine and full of spunk - especially since he doesn't have any other dogs to play with at home (he is walked on a leash in his own yard which consists of 5 acres). As I was starting to make my way out, I asked how the dogs go outside to use the bathroom? She showed me the back door was open and told me the area was fenced in so no one could get loose, and then she showed me the "community" pee pole inside the shop - this I thought to be a little gross, but she said it gets cleaned in the evenings. I left - Now long story short......I picked him up around 3:30 p.m. On Sunday my pup started to have very loose stools. He did this all week long and on Friday morning I called my Vet - he said to give him an amodium and some pepto bismol and if he was not better by the morning to bring him in. He quit eating and drinking for the rest of the day and started to vomit after 10 pm. Sat. took him to the Vet, he exam.him and tested his stool, he had a bronchiol and an intestinal infection - the Vet said he was very sick. I asked how could he get these infections? He said only from canine to canine. (I can say this now with 20 / 20 hindsite - all groomers should have you PRODUCE your pet's shot record at your initial visit and every year thereafter to prove their shots are up to date for your safety and the safety of all pet owners - anyone can just produce a Vet's name) I called Alisha to tell her about everything. I was not only telling her to ask for reimbursement for my vet bill since I and my Vet were convinced this had to be where my pup got it from, but also figuring she would be a responsible business professional and for her to contact her clients to see if any other dogs were becoming or had been sick - #1 to verify that I was not the only one and #2 to warn everyone that there was a bad sickness going around so other owners would not wait for there dogs to become so sick before taking them to the Vet like I did....Unfortunetly all I heard from Alisha was exactly what I titled this whole story "NOT IN MY SHOP!!!!!!!" So if you are looking for a Loving Groomer, who has a Clean Shop, who takes Responsibility for what goes on in her shop, and does an Awesome Job with your pet's grooming (I could have done about as good of a job on my pet by myself - it was a very simple squared off cut and the scissored sections were very uneven and choppy) ...Well keep looking because she is none of the things that I just mentioned ABOVE. And lastly so no other pet owner has to go through what I just did, rethink having your pet kept in a cage during their grooming visit and if you feel it necessary for them to have something to eat while they are there - you just might want to bring their food from home .... with their dish, and believe me - they CAN hold it until they get back to their own yard. It's what I will be doing from now on!
i am sorry that your dog got sick. you claimed that your dogs groom had never looked as good as my groom. you never asked for your vet bill to be given back, just that you had a nascar race to attend. your dog got sick because he himself was not current on vaccinations and i did in fact contact all pet parents after your call and they all said their dogs were fine. i have heard from other groomers since this incident that you just do this all the time; you praise and pay for the service at the time of service and then come back later demanding your funds returned. i have been in business long enough to know how to run mine and my loyal and long time regular customers have never reported any illness or injury to me after a trip to my shop. food and water bowls are cleaned after use daily in my dishwasher. laundry and steaming floors are done daily. and the pee pole is called that because thats where all the male dogs hike and bleach kills those germs. maybe you should be more responsible as a pet owner and not so nasty to poeple who are righteous in their businesses and lives! you never even produced the bill and when i called the vet listed on your one page info sheet he had no record of you or your pup. i am passionate about my craft and i have the tax returns to prove it. my clientele is at present over 3000 who come regularly. i have never been in any violation on any level in fact agriculture department, 3 county k-9 departments and all judges and lawyers and law enforcement come to me...if there was a problem at my shop you would not be the first or ONLY person to accuse me on line of being an irresponsible business owner. maybe you should get a job or a hobby and stop trying to make problems to take the focus off your own shortcomings! have a great day though!
