The McFarland Police Department maintains social order and peace, as well as provides law enforcement services. The department maintains a citizen s police academy that provides training programs related to law, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, first aid, patrol procedures and investigations. It supports the Crime Stoppers program, which is affiliated with the National Crime Stoppers Organization and provides opportunities for citizens to report illegal activities to volunteers of Crime Stoppers. In addition, the department offers the Police School Liaison Officer Program (P.S.L.O.) that assists in the resolution of school-related problems through counseling and school-imposed sanctions. The McFarland Police Department is located in McFarland, Wis.
