I decided to try Northtown Auto after finding that they have numerous positive reviews and have been voted the best auto repair center in the county. Why did I wait so long? Excellent experience! I would highly recommend.

What a great bunch of employees here at Northtown. They are honest and right up front with the cost. They will always check with you first before they begin any work. No hidden costs.
The mechanics are super. They definitely take pride in their work to satisfy their customers.
Kudos to Northtown. Best in McHenry county.

Lets face it, there is no such thing as perfection, although Northtown Auto has been the closest that I've found. Rating a business online, only captures one incident, but as a consumer you should expect that something could go wrong at some point. I focus mostly on the way a business takes corrective measures if something goes wrong. Do they stand behind their work? I've been a Northtown customer over 7 years and yes I've had a few incidents were service was a bit shy of perfection. What always impresses me about them, is the fact that they are very responsive and accommodating if something is not up to par with the quality standard they promised. They stand behind their work and are willing to make it up to you! Before Northtown, I tried other shops in the area and they have all failed when put to the test. I will continue doing business with them and highly recommend them!

I was referred to Northtown by a friend. I've lived in McHenry for a while and have used a few of the others repair centers in town but have never been treated and taken care of like at Northtown. The customer service is outstanding! I was provided valuable information about my vehicle's condition but never felt pressured to fix anything that was not a safety hazard. Best of all, the friend that referred me received a free oil change for referring me and I received ten dollars off my first service. Bottom line is that I felt that I can trust them and they provide the kind of customer service that is rarely seen anymore. I would certainly recommend them!

Great first experience! I was impressed by their customer service and nice building. Repairs were done in a timely manner and I was continuously informed about the progress. The price was exactly what they quoted. I will continue to use them for car repairs.

VERY SHADY OPERATION. I went in to inquire about an alarming sound coming from my vehicle, and immediately after stepping through the doors I was not greeted or asked what I needed. The man at the counter (Ed) gave me nothing but a hassle and was evident that he was just pushing to make a sale for more service that I did NOT need. ALSO, word on the street is that the owner doesn't pay his employees fairly whatsoever. I would much rather take my money, AND time elsewhere to a business that respects it's customers AND employees.

Horrible experience. I brought my car in there for a one day repair but they ended up taking 4 days which cost me a ton in rental fees! They also called my mother-in-law instead of me to dicuss my car repairs because they didn't look at the customer name and just called whoever they could find in the system with the same last name. Super unprofessional and horrible service. I would never recommend this place!

Going into an automotive center can be intimidating for a woman. I went to Northtown the first time on a recommendation from my neighbor and it was love at first visit! The guys here are friendly, and so honest. I have never been sold something that I did not need. They are serious about keeping my vehicle safe, and I trust them completely. The facility is friendly, comfortable, and my kids love the play area. If I don't want to wait, they shuttle me whereever I need to go. This is a family business, and their pride shines. Honesty, fair prices, and great service keep me coming back every time.

Northtown Auto Service is unlike any other automotive service center that I have ever been to. As soon as you walk in the door you know you're in good hands. The work was done expertly the first time, and delivered on time as promised. Their prices were very reasonable. In fact, I was surprised to find their tire prices were the lowest in the area!
