Provided by YP.comThis place is descent except for a young guy who works there with brown hair. I believe he is a manager. Always has an attitude. The last straw was when he asked me to bring back my drink carrier next time "because they cost him a lot of money". I told him his drinks "cost ME a lot of money" and left. Avoid if you don’t enjoy aggravation with your coffee. Let’s see how much money it costs him to lose a family full of customers.

Provided by YP.comMy first visit was good, no problems. The place is clean, placed my order, got it quickly with friendly service. Could use some couches, oh and it was cloudy. I'll stop by again.

Provided by YP.comIf I were to rate it on style and personality - it used be a 110+ if Melanie were still there? Where did she go? Sucks!

Provided by YP.comI am a local pastor of a relatively young Church called Ranchland Church, here in McKinney. I've frequented Scooter's many times over the past few months with others from this community. I've never been anything but impressed w/ Ryan (Regional Manager), Melanie (Store Manager) and their staff. They've been a great asset to this area and have been generous to our Church in the services they offer. I definitely recommend them to any and all.

Provided by YP.comI am the Regional Manager of Scooter's Coffeehouse in Austin and Dallas, writing in response to the above reviews. I am not posting to refute any of the comments above, as I believe them to be true at the time they were written. Upon being made aware of the poor practices being exercised by the management at our McKinney location, we immediately underwent a change of management, and did away with any and all health code violations we found. I am excited to announce that we currently have a new manager in place, and today the store actually received a perfect score from the health inspector! We were given approval by the Health Department in May to open our doors to the public and offer our amazing line of self serve frozen yogurt, after successfully demonstrating that our store was up to code in all areas.
I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the ownership, to apologize to anyone who had a poor experience at Scooter's in the past, and invite them to come give us another try. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the changes!

Provided by YP.comDirty. Disrespectful management. Unsanitary.
I used to work here and have never had so many problems with management. Rude, ignorant, lazy.... I'm just not a fan of the people who run this store. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. The way the do things is just dirty and gross, maybe they should consider re-taking the food handlers class because a lot of the things they do is just unsanitary, unhealthy and just plain gross. Store is moldy, dead bugs are in all the windows, they leave dairy products out all day long, milk pitchers aren't cleaned between drinks... the list goes on. Ew! The drinks are good as long they are made FRESH and CLEAN, which is something this store doesn't seem to care about. Overall, I am disgusted by the people running things, how badly I was treated, and the dirty way they makes their drinks. I'm sure not all Scooter's are as gross as this one, but I sure wouldn't recommend them.
bella_xo, I represent the owner of the Scooter's Coffee and Yogurt in McKinney. I am terribly sorry to hear of your experience with the former managers. We were made aware of of these practices by an employee in early March, and immediately made a change in management. I relocated to McKinney to correct any and all of these incidents on March 5th. I am not writing to refute any of the claims above; upon arriving in McKinney I learned that everything you have written about was indeed true. With the former managers out of the picture, we have installed a new manager, and done away with all of the improper food handling practices, as well as maintained a clean store. McKinney's Health Inspector recently visited our store, and granted approval for us to open the dining room and serve our delicious self serve frozen yogurt. Please know, I am deeply sorry for the experience you had at Scooter's. Please know that that is not the way we do business, and as soon as we were made aware of what was going on here in McKinney, we acted swiftly to change things for the better. bella_xo, please stop by and give us another chance, I promise we won't let you down!

Provided by YP.comI would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Unsanitary at its finest. Management tells employees to leave the milk out on the counters for faster service. So yes, that means your drink was made with milk that has been sitting uncovered on a counter top ALL day long. Not only the milk, but the whip cream and smoothie ingredients as well. So much for refrigerators, this place might as get rid of theirs. Pastries are left out for WEEKS! Stale? They don't care, they sell them anyways. The drains under the sinks are FULL of MOLD and other nasty looking things, not to mention the dead bugs that line the floors. Managers are SO rude and the drinks aren't worth the expensive prices. If you are looking for a health hazard in a cup, check out Scooter's Coffee House in McKinney. My recommendation, go to the nearest Starbucks. :)
