Vision has been taking care of...

Vision has been taking care of my vehicles for as long as I can remember, probably since 2000 or longer. I've had cars, truck and vans, not to mention friends of mine who drove from Dallas to experience the honesty and integrity they hold for all their customers. I have not experienced any dissatifaction with Vision or any of their staff. Why did I chose Vision to begin with? Well, my previous and perfect mechanic retired and left me with no home for my car repairs. I pleaded for him to continue at least with my vehicles. When I asked him what he recommended and without hesitation, replied: "Joe, I only trust my cars to one place and that is Vision, so, I recommend them to you as I do trust them with all my cars when I can't figure the problem out." Best advice and recommendation anyone could have received. Vision, thank you for being there for us all who need a place that truly cars for their customers and works on our vehicles as if it were for a family member. I salute you!

Good mechanics are not easy to...

Good mechanics are not easy to come by and are few to find. But Vision is not only good at what they do in fixing cars they also go out of there way to please there customers and treat them right. Have been a client of theirs for many years and have sent others to them as well that went away satisfied with the results. EXCELLENT MECHANICS!!

I am a single Mom with two kid...

I am a single Mom with two kids and have had my share of mechanics that try to "take you to the cleaners" so when I was introduced to Vision Automotive I was at first cautious. But they changed that the first time I went to them. They were thorough, prompt, and the cost was right in my budget. I never have to worry that the job was not done right or the car not being safe, because I know the people at Vision do not do business that way. GOOD PEOPLE, GREAT MECHANICS!!

I have been a customer of Vision for over 10 years. When I first moved to McKinney, one of the first business I looked for was a good mechanic. It is not the kind of business that you want to just pick out of the yellow pages, so I asked someone at church that has lived here a while and they highly recommended Vision Automotive. Soon afterwards, I had the opportunity to see just how they were when my car started having issues, and not only were they very great at fixing the problem they were also great when it came to the cost. They even gave me a ride back to work and picked me up when the car was ready. I have an older car, so the parts are not that easy to find, but they go out of there way to locate what is needed. To sum up how they fix the cars is this statement: "They fix your car like you were family", in that they would not in good conscience give you back a car that they knew was not fixed or safe. I have had my share of "bad mechanics" and so I am glad that Vision is "one of the good ones"!!

I had recently bought a hom...

I had recently bought a home outside of McKinney when I asked my neighbor for his referral of a repair shop. He sent me to Vision Automotive to have my transmission rebuilt. I got to know the owner and a couple of his techs during the few days it took to complete the work. Having some experience(shade tree) of my own made it easy to see that the crew was competent. I was also impressed by how they carefully packed all of their customer's vehicles in the garage before turning off the lights.



The bill was a pleasant surprise as I expected much higher. But my transmission performed well for only about 4 months and then began to behave badly. The fluid had turned dark and had a burnt odor. I promptly returned it and was prepared for an argument. Instead I was reassured that the work was still under warranty and I would be taken care of. As it turned out, my only extra expense was the replacement of the truck's radiator. It had an accumulation of sludge that prevented it from cooling the transmission fluid causing it to break down.



That all happened in 1998 and Vision Automotive has taken care of my family's fleet of 3 vehicles ever since. It is used and worn vehicles that this company takes care of. It's how responsibly the business deals with issues that makes the difference.



The owner and his employees have served numerous personal favors and respect me as a friend. As I refer my other friends to Vision, I advise them that they should expect to pay the fair market value for parts and service while receiving the very best quality of both.

Do not trust them!

I took my car here to get a new wheel bearing. I asked for a quote on the phone for the passenger side. When I got there I reiterated it was the passenger side. While I was waiting, another guy came in after me and said he was in a hurry. They took his car in immediately to look at it. I went up to a mechanic and told him I was there first and he acted like there must have been a miscommunication.

They called me to tell me my brakes were bad (they were done last year). I said just do the wheel bearing and picked up my car the following morning. As I drove away, I heard the same sound that made me bring my car in... I took it back and discovered they had done the WRONG SIDE. They argued and said "well that noise isnt just gonna go away!" but eventually said they would fix the side I asked to be done. They called me the next day and said they put my old wheel bearing back on and swapped the new one to the other side. (awesome and they wasted my time!)

Also they said my rotors are shot. OBVIOUSLY I AM NOT GOING TO HAVE YOU IDIOTS DO ANYTHING ELSE TO MY CAR. I'm already nervous that my car is more messed up than it was when I took it in. Don't go here. They treat you like you don't know what you're talking about and try to rip you off! And they somehow have a BBB certification and A+ rating.

Krash77, It sounds as thou you had more of a bad day than going to the wrong people. I understand in the mistake of the sides getting mixed up, but they are human just like you. As for the person appearing as thou they went "right in ahead of you", chances are, they just needed more of a "what's wrong with my car" answer so they can plan on bringing it back in, and not actually getting work done on there car like you. Also when they found or suspected was wrong with your car, sounds more like maybe the people that did your break job may not have done it as good as you thought they did and they were only trying to give you a heads up. I can tell you from going to Vision that they care about their customers. How do you think you would have felt if you got in an accident and was told the same thing that they were trying to tell you was wrong?

All I wanted was brake pads re...

All I wanted was brake pads replaced on my vehicle, rear axle. Following the installation, the brakes made a high- pitched shrill, when engaged. They proceeded to tell me it was coming from the front axle, and we're preparing to change those pads. Then, upon further examination, they said it was the TRANSMISSION! No.... It's the rotors, which they had "turned". By the end of the day, they just didn't know. They refunded my money and more or less said "lSORRY". I have an appt. with the dealer to diagnose and repair. I hope they haven't done irreparable damage . Take your vehicle somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE!

BroKdo, I understand just how frustrating cars can be sometimes, but all the elements of the car work as a whole and because of that it is quite common for another part to be effected that we don't expect to go bad. The braking system of a car is a good example of that type of issue, especially brake pads, rotors, and axles. Fortunately the people at Vision Automotive have skills and experience in this field, and yes, sometimes a problem is not so "cut and dry" when trying solve it in finding the real cause of the issue. Unfortunately, taking your car to a dealer may have cost you more than what Vision would have charged you and when it comes to experience, quite often Visions mechanics come from working for dealers, so all you accomplished was paying more money.
