I went through the drive in on Thursday, July 10th (2008) in the evening and got food and a large drink to celebrate my birthday with my hubby. Everything tasted okay and I thought everything was okay--until I went to empty out my ice in the sink at home the next day. A drill bit--like the kind you put in a drill to drill holes in wood, about 3 inches long--was in the bottom of my cup. There was already a rusty spot on the bottom of the plastic. I am 16 weeks pregnant and have no idea what kind of germs etc that could have been on that bit--but my straw was right there at the bottom sucking all that up.

When I called on Saturday to complain I spoke to the store manager and she hardly apologized. She said something like, "Oh I bet I know where that can out of... they were using it to hold something together"--like what? the ice machine? that isn't kosher! what else have they rigged to stay together back there?

She took my name and offered me a free meal the next time I come in. I wanted to ask her if she seriously thought I would be coming in anytime soon.
