You'll find us on US Highway 54, 180 miles west of Wichita, 35 miles east of Liberal and just 20 miles north of the Oklahoma state line. If you're ever out this way, be sure and stop by the Smoke Hoss Bistro for a cup of Christi's iced tea and a smoked turkey & cheese sandwich or try a cup of organic coffee or espresso. Provided by YP.comWithout a doubt the best BBQ in Southwest Kansas!! I will be looking for excuses to travel to Meade so I can swing by Smoke Hoss. The meat was delicious; tender, juicy, and flavorable. The price is a steal for what you're getting! It was an inviting atmosphere, with friendly service that appeared very natural. Highly recommended!!

We felt like we had the undivided attention of the owners the entire time we were there. Good meat. Good coffee. Good value. What more can I say?

Provided by YP.comThought we would try the new BBQ joint in town. Stopped in and took one look at the prices and underwent sticker shock. Everything on the menu is WAY overpriced. For the price of one BBQ sandwich meal deal, you could feed a whole family Pizza. For two people to get meal deals, it was about $20. Very disappointing.
RoverRed, I'm sorry for your disappointment with the prices of our menu items. We do compare our prices to the regional expectations of consumers and comparable restaurants. We also examine the cost/price analysis of each of our menu items. In each area, we meet or beat than the average. It simply costs more to offer original, high quality, and healthier items compared to pizza or fast food. We also offer numerous deals and discounts for families. As a matter of fact, $20 would have fed a family of four with our last coupon. You also won't find a deep fryer, or greasy grill in our restaurant. Everything is freshly made or smoked/baked in a smoker, so you're correct in that we don't really compare to pizza and fast food joints. Finally, we're 100% locally owned and operated, meaning the money you spend in our restaurant goes right back into the local community in the form of employee wages, taxes, advertising, sponsorships, and local vendors. I'd love to have you try our restaurant again, and would personally pay the cost of your meal. Give us another try and see why we're so passionate about the quality and affordability of the items offer our customers.
