If I could give one star, I would. I just had my friend pick up my machine for me. (I was worried that if I didn't get it immediately she would keep it) all I needed was the tension control to be replaced. If I knew how to order the part, I would do it myself. It took over TWO MONTHS for this simple repair to be done. The woman never called me, I had to call several times to check up and make sure my machine was still there. She told me it would cost around $20 (makes sense, the part is around $5) however, the bill was for $87. Unfortunately, I wasn't there to question her, and her receipt is undecipherable. I am absolutely livid. I will never use this woman again.

I honestly don't know how this place is even still in business. I truly wish I could submit a review with a rating of 0.



I dropped off my machine to have the timing adjusted in April of 2015, and was told it would be ready to go in 2-3 weeks. It is now nearly September 2015, and I still don't have it. The owner is the worst business woman I've ever dealt with. I have attempted to stop in person at least 5 times, but every attempt was thwarted by a sign on the door saying something along the lines of, "CLOSED - EMERGENCY - BE BACK TOMORROW". The one or two times I or my husband have managed to get in touch with her over the phone, she has given us nothing but excuses, and no ETA on when it will be done. Last we heard, it was "in pieces in the back", and that was in July. I finally gave up and just bought a new machine, as I have no idea if I will ever get mine back. After talking with other folks in the area who sew, I've learned that this is a very typical experience when dealing with Detzel's, so I know I am not the exception. Take your business elsewhere, for the love of all things holy. This place is a complete and utter joke.
