Salton Sea State Recreation Area operates under the California Department of Parks & Recreation. Its facility includes restrooms, dump station, picnic areas and a visitor s center. The center has more than 20 miles of hiking trails, over five miles of rugged coastline and an underwater park. Salton Sea State Recreation Area provides a range of activities that include fishing, windsurfing, horseback riding, diving, swimming and boating for visitors. Additionally, the center rents its facility for various occasions that includes weddings, business meetings, picnics and other get-togethers.
