Appalachian Brewing, established in 1951, is a restaurant operating through three divisions, ABC Harrisburg, Abbey Bar and ABC Gettysburg. ABC Harrisburg is a large-capacity microbrewery and full-service brewpub, distributing its craft-brewed beers to restaurants and taverns in central Pennsylvania and in the Greater Baltimore area. Its menu items include appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, gourmet pizzas, steaks and seafood. The firm s German-engineered automated bottling line can fill 130 bottles per minute, and its kegging line cleans and fills one half keg every 4 minutes. The company is a member of the Institute for Brewing Studies. The Abbey Bar division is on the second floor of the restaurant featuring more than 50 Belgian beers and offering free pool on Sunday and Tuesday nights. ABC Gettysburg serves branded food items and beers. Appalachian Brewing is located in Gettysburg, Pa.
