The Bridges at Bent Creek
2100 Bent Creek Blvd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
We’re a senior living facility located just west of Harrisburg, nestled beside the Conodoguinet Creek. In addition to our traditional older adult care residence setting where residents enjoy independence and receive personal assistance when needed, we also provide specialized care for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Residents live in beautiful apartment suites, which include a private bathroom, in a secure environment that still allows a resident to live independently. Detailed, person-centered care is the philosophy that drives how we treat and interact with our residents. We realize that every person in our care is different. The management and team of staff care deeply about meeting the daily care needs and considering the lifestyle interests of everyone who calls The Bridges their home. Regardless of the level of care, friends and family members can rest assured that our community is staffed with an LPN who is on-site 24/7. Those who require assistance with medication receive this assistance from either the nurse or a certified medication technician. As an added layer of protection, we use a computerized medication distribution system to ensure that each resident’s medications are administered according to their doctor’s orders. We offer transportation to off-site physician appointments and we can send a staff member to accommodate the resident when a family member is not available, with both of these transportation services being offered at a reasonable fee. If a resident wishes to have medical care provided in the community, we offer two physician groups to our residents. We also offer on-site podiatry care, mobile dentistry for on-site dental care, and an audiologist who provides on-site hearing aid support. Residents have access to a complete program of enjoyable and educational recreational activities, including clubs, trips, and evening activities where transportation is provided. We listen to our residents and ask them regularly about their preferences, so that we can tailor leisure opportunities to their interests and abilities. Residents are served three delicious meals in our attractive dining room. Our breakfast buffet is just the beginning of the food choices that await residents each day. Lunches and dinners are delivered restaurant-style. We also provide access to a dietician, who is available to speak with residents and family members. To ensure great customer service, we have a dining room manager present at every meal. On a monthly basis, we prepare a special Sunday brunch that is open to friends and family members; we also offer other featured meals monthly! We provide housekeeping and linen services, satellite TV, Internet in each apartment, and all utilities are included. Apartments are equipped with a 24-hour emergency call system with two-way communication. For more information or to schedule a consultation, visit our website or give us a call.

- We offer various levels of care that come from an annual assessment, which is reviewed with family members, to re-assess the level of care that traditional care residents require. Our Seasons program provides a structured and therapeutic adult day care program for residents living in our traditional personal care residences who have mild-to-moderate memory impairment. This provides individuals an opportunity to attend activities 7 days a week where they form friendships, and participate in activities that focus on maintaining cognitive, physical, and psycho-social wellness in a small-group setting. This program is an integral part of the care we provide for residents who reside in a traditional personal care setting, but who benefit from having a structured day. Another area that we specialize in is Alzheimers and dementia care. For those who need to live in a secure residential area, The Garden offers specialized memory care in spacious, private and semi-private, living accommodations. Daily programs open opportunities for residents to interact with their peers throughout each day, 7 days a week, based on their activity interests and personal needs. Our staff receive ongoing training specific to caring for individuals with early stage and advanced Alzheimers and dementia. We have a consistent team that works with both our Seasons and Garden residents, and we offer social activities to encourage family members to come and join their loved ones to experience special family times. Depending on availability, short-term and respite care is provided by The Bridges a two-week stay minimum is required.
