Dr. Krishna P Jayaramen is an expert in the field of urology as well as a kind, compassionate man. Please note - Dr. Jay IS a professional - DOCTOR and SURGEON - and is not there to be our "friend". Symptoms, diagnostics, and eventual diagnoses may sometimes reveal underlying issues - he will find out and let you know. Our diet, weight, lifestyle and more - ALL play a huge part in our endocrine system - and if weight is an underlying issue, than Dr. Jay will address your weight. Dr. Jay has been in his field a long time and gained a wealth of experience. Early in Dr. Jay's career, my grandfather was one of his patients. I am a local - and have known so many who have been in Dr. Jay's care = ALL of whom speak very highly of him as a urologist. They have been pleased with his bedside manner and expertise. All members of his support staff at his office in Mechanicsville are patient and knowledgeable as well - and one can imagine all the different patients and situations they have to address daily.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Dr Jay to anyone in need of a urologist. My experiences with him have all been for kidney stones (o u c h) and have had to undergo numerous stone lithotripsies and removals as well as stent placements (I am not very good at passing stones) with him at the helm. I ALWAYS feel safe going in knowing I am in his very competent hands!

Dr. Kirshner was very unprofessional. As soon as he stepped in the door it started out like an interrogation. Was more interested in my nationality then addressing the medical issue. Then questioned me about my weight. Having me answer he's questions of why are you so fat? It went on. Before he did finally check my privates. I asked his female nurse or secretary that was on the laptop to leave the room. She did not like this but left the room. He then proceeded to check my privates without gloves. I've only seen him once and his comment was I was fat and lazy. Not even considering I walked in with the help of a Cain had other physical conditions which kept me off my feet much of the time.I was shocked by his words.When I told him I didn't appreciate that comment. He's comment was "I speak what's on my mind and if you people don't like it you can find treatment elsewhere. "He had a speech defect which was noticeable when he raised his voice and facial change. He did not address the issue said he couldn't do anything for me. I cannot recommend this Doctor to anyone. Maybe this kind of practice is fine in India where he's from but it shouldn't be tolerated here.

I can't say enough about our new Urologist, Dr. Jayaraman. He spent almost an hour with my very ill husband this morning as a new patient. He was very concerned and is doing everything he can to see my husand through this terrible situation he has found himself in at the hands of a Georgetown Urologist who could care less about him.
