Mariella Pizza & Grill was quite the surprise when my boyfriend and I showed up for pizza last week. We opened the menu and just the menu alone was amazing. If you cannot find the type of pizza that you are interested in, it doesn't exist on this planet! We had the Margherita #2 pizza which consisted of mushrooms, carmelized onions, roasted garlic cloves, and prosciutto. We waited about 20 minutes and when the pizza came out, the pizza maker opened up the box and presented the pizza to us like he was very proud of his work. Well, when we got that pizza home, we could not believe the fine quality of ingredients! The dough was thin, crispy and fresh and hand tossed so the shape was irregular. The sauce was dynamite! Not too much sauce and it was light and sweet and not overspiced. It was like sauce right from an italian grandmother's kitchen. The mozzerella circles were sporadic and boy was it fresh! The garlic was soft and sweet, the carmelized onions were sweet and crispy and the prosciutto was not overly salty and in great supply. The pizze was finished with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese. This is THE best pizza I have ever had in my life and I will not be able to get pizza elsewhere now. Nobody can live up to Mariella's quality, taste and pizzamaking experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and especially, this pizza! We are going back to experience their meals next. The crowds of people were entering in droves so, apparently the meals are great too. What a menu, what a place!
