Jackson County Mental health unfortunately is run by extremely condescending overpayed people whose job is to collect as much information as possible before offering any sort of guidance or support, If you are in any type of family crisis, do not look for help here... When the woman answering the crisis service line asked me " if I was in any danger" I asked her to repeat herself because she was speaking too quickly and i didn't understand what she'd said. She said I was "extremely rude" to ask such a question and hung up before I could get through to anyone. After several repeated attempts to contact anyone, I finally spoke to the supervisor who swore "she was very professional and serious and about her job" and "everyone who works for her is too" When I was finally able to get through to a "counselor" she dismissed my complaint and told me she was "sorry that it had made me so upset". Some of the most condescending people Ive ever spoken with in my entire life.

The scheduler J.J that I spoke to is impatient and rude. I am deeply concerned that she hasn't been trained to deal with mental illness whatsoever. She needs to either find a different job where she's not exposed to people who actually need her help in this way, or she needs to be demoted or fired. I am unimpressed.
