They don't send out bills and ...

They don't send out bills and then send the account to rvbs, who then tacks on 10%. They have an online system they don't bother to tell you about. This is where I found out that other bills I had were "overdue". It takes forever for them to bill insurance and send out bills for the patient responsibility portion and that's MY problem?

Terrible business--entirely driven by greed; not patient care. I've gone there for over 2 years. My complaints include that they mail you appointment times (you didn't request) and then when you don't make the time to cancel the ones you are "assigned" they threaten to charge you for them. I have even TOLD them to write it in my chart--NOT to make appointments for me. Yet, they continue to do so. It is ALL about revenue. I'm old enough to remember having family physicians who saw us when we were sick, and once we were familiar with symptoms of our frequent ailments (sinus infections; strep), gave us prescriptions with refills for antibiotics. We never abused the physician's trust and it saved our family hundreds of dollars. Now, all of them want to bill, bill, bill and insist on office visits for everything. Other countries have many medications over the counter; yet they are not abused. It is time we stopped buying into liberal crap that we "need" government and doctors to protect us from ourselves. I will never use this group again; nor any other who lacks such respect for patients.

All about making money

My husband & I have had a horrible experience with MMC for the past 3 yrs. They misdiagnosed my husband who may now have colon cancer 8 mos after he was seen. The nurses were very rude & uncaring. I saw a Dr in urgent care & paid out of pocket since i don't have health insurance & 3 days later my medications were not working right & made me sick. But the Dr I saw in urgent care was gone for a week so they wanted me to come back in to see someone else but I couldn't afford it since I just paid 3 days prior to see someone. I was told that was my only option. So needless to say I did not go back in and suffered with my illness & bad medication. Seems to us that they are all about making money instead of really caring for their patients & being understanding. I will advise everyone to avoid this place. I know of others who say the same thing!!!
