Had our mortgage with Fidelity for over 10 years never missing a payment and always paying more than necessary. One of the biggest selling points for choosing Fidelity was that they offered a home equity line of credit. Over the years we did not use the line of credit and did not have a problem paying the $25 fee per year for the piece of mind that it was available if needed. A few months ago we purchased a new vehicle using the home equity line of credit . A few months later we received a letter saying that they are changing the way they administer their line of credit and that we had to fill out a new credit application. With the new terms our existing interest rate on our loan would increase 2% and we would also be charged a $150 fee for a home appraisal on top of the yearly $25 fee. We have an excellent credit score and had no problem taking our business elsewhere at a much lower rate. Not sure why any customer would agree to these ridiculous terms. The corporation obviously does not care about keeping customers.

The employees at the Appleton branch have always been very professional and courteous. Too bad their corporate office makes such greedy decisions.
