Got an immediate appointment to assess problem. Told repair of my washing machine would be $400 ($50 service call plus $350 repair) and that new machine is $800 and would not last 10 years. Told him to go ahead. He ordered the part but it was backordered by the supplier. I had to wait two weeks without a washer through no fault of his. He came over and repaired it quickly, cleaned up and was a pleasure to deal with. I called him weeks later with a refrigerator problem. He troubleshot with me over the phone and we got it working. Thanks! He's a bit of a gruff character; so, if you want kid gloves, get a thicker skin. This guy has a good heart and knows his stuff. Changing my review because after one year the machine broke again smoking. The tech came out three more times and charged me another $300 plus to replace the belt then a spring then said it needed new bearings. He didn't show up twice to do the bearings that he said would be included in what I had already paid since it wasn't repaired properly. He is not returning calls or texts. I am taking them to court. Edit: Prior to the court date, his attorney called and admitted fault on voicemail and promised to pay before the court date. They did not. I went to court, they did not show up, and I won in May. They still have not paid. I called the attorney twice. Nothing. Now I have to file financial information forms, property liens and wage garnishments all for $740 and change plus court costs and interest since November. Why not pay? Their attorney lied to me multiple times and said they were at fault and would be paying, twice before we went to court and once after. He keeps asking for my address to send the check but never sends it. Pathetic. What a way to live and do business. How criminal.
