Sadly, I am required to give this company a star but if I had it my way they would get no stars at all.
Old Dominion Freight Line delivered a very large package to our home. The delivery man, Luis Alba, came into our house with said package. After realizing it was damaged, he proceeded to take it away, dragging it along our new hardwood floors, leaving close to a 6ft mark right by the entrance of our home. He stood there while both he and my husband took pictures of the damage to our floor. Mr. Alba repeatedly said he should not have been in the house and he would get into trouble for having brought the package in as he was supposed to have left it outside.
Following the incident, we filed a claim with Old Dominion as they instructed us to do because they "had insurance policies to take care of these types of things." Shortly thereafter, we received a letter in the mail simply stating "Old Dominion Freight Line has completed our investigation of the above referenced claim and must respectfully deny liability." No explanation.
We called the Liability Claims Dept. and spoke to a Kimberly Parker who was rude and unhelpful. According to Ms. Parker, Mr. Alba had gone back and told Old Dominion that he never stepped foot in our house. Unbelievable! No accountability was taken whatsoever. Ms. Parker said, and I quote "We always take the side of our driver." What about your customers? Your clients? What are the insurance policies there for?
Absolutely dreadful and extremely frustrating to say the least. Terrible company, policies, and employees. It is comical that their slogan is "Helping the world keep promises".
