Located in West Melbourne, Fla., Central Middle School is operated by the Brevard County School District. It offers academic education to more than 1,000 students every year in grades six through eight. The school has various departments, such as math, science research, social studies, English, language arts, reading, gifted education, health and physical education. It also provides classes in drama, Spanish language, art, technology, and family and consumer science. The middle school also provides guidance and counseling services that assists students in anger management, and academic and personal issues. It provides a variety of athletic activities that includes volleyball, basketball, baseball, and track and field. Central Middle School has a library and media center that offers a collection of books and encyclopedias, as well as several computers with Internet access.
