The Foosaner Art Museum, located in the Eau Gallie Arts District, is a gathering place, a visitor attraction, a landmark and a center for creativity and education. Part gallery, part studio, The Foosaner offers patrons the opportunity to both observe and create masterpieces. Classes for children, teens and adults at all levels of experience are open to the public and held year-round. In addition, The Foosaner collects, displays and interprets a diverse variety works in ways that relate to the past, present and future. Rotating exhibitions, tuned to the pulse of the contemporary art world, bring widely recognized works by renowned artists to Brevard County. The museum’s permanent collection showcases historical art movements and interests. Since opening in 1978, The Foosaner has accumulated nearly 3,000 pieces spanning 20 centuries, which reflect not only the museum’s interests and specialties, but also the rich and storied lives of the people who have lived in the surrounding community. Admission to the museum is $5 for adults, $2 for seniors, children and students with ID. Thursdays are free.
