Provided by YPmobileMy sister heard about Makotos and she told us we HAD to go here so we did and it was the best place I have ever been to and it is now my favorite restaurant!! I love how they cook in front of you, it is very entertaining. The chefs are excellent at there job! The food is very good and seasoned to perfection. Although, the shrimp is a little tough but I can deal with it since everything else is amazing. My daughter says she loves there Steak Tokyo and she always gets it. We usually only go there for special events or birthdays because it is VERY expensive and you DEFINITELY have to save up your pennies! Other than the price the food and service is amazing and I love how they rap the foil into an animal or some sort of figure for leftovers.

Provided by YPmobileSalt, salt, salt, and a pinch of pepper is all they use to season their food which is mainly the gallons of soy sauce they douse everything in. The fried rice was just white rice with those gallons of soy sauce and 1 or 2 corn kernels, but I can't forget those 5 chives. Just like every other Japanese steak house the chefs entertainment was exactly the same. If you've ever smelt dog food, that's exactly what the frozen "liver" patties tasted like. But overall it's not a place we would recommend, unless you enjoy throwing $100 out the window.

Provided by YP.comWe went to the section were they did not cook in front of you because I didn't want all that steam in my face and wanted a more relaxing and private experience. The decor was nice. But the waiter that helped us was a nightmare!! He went on and on of how tired he was since he was there from opening and at that time it was nightime. I guess that should have been a sign to leave! But I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt since it came so highly recommended.... wrong!! Then he went on and on on how he didn't have to split his tips with the cooks because he had to clean cups, clean the tables and a list of other things, then I saw him moving bunch of dishes around! Just looking at him made you tense, since he was irritated.... I would have been too... but don't take it out on me I am the one (the customer) that pays for your work!! The waiter wasnt there half the time to wait on us, didn't even ask us if all was ok or if we wanted refill or any more drinks, I guess he was working too hard to make sure he didn't have to split his tips with the cook that it wasnt important to wait on us! The food was mediocre if not bad! We ordered sushi and he didn't even add the little dipping plate, so you had to pour the soy sauce all over your food! I would have asked for the little side plate if he would only had been around. But in his wonderful genius little mind, he thought it was all ok to be so inept, since he didn't charges us for the sodas! The $2.00 that I saved was sure worth the bad experience and mediocre food! And for being around 8pm on a friday... it was mostly empty! Management didn't came over to ask us if all was ok.... I guess the free sodas should have been enough compensation!

Provided by YP.comWe frequent this restaurant and have never had any type of issue. The staff is wonderful, polite, helpful, always on top of things, and the food is the best in Brevard. The atmosphere is relaxed and should be kept as business casual, but it only happens 90% of the time. The menu may look to be a bit pricey, but not only is the quality impeccable, but it is a meal done right--and it is worth the price! Drink order, entree/ appetizer order, Sake tea, salad with the famous Makoto ginger dressing, appetizers (if ordered), entree cooked right in front you (quite entertaining), and then dessert (if ordered). Pick up a bottle of the ginger dressing either at the restaurant or one of the local supermarkets (Publix or Walmart).
